I am an iPhone devotee. I suffered through years of Palm Treo and various Blackberries (a Curve and two Bolds) to land, finally, in the land of the iPhone. And I couldn’t love it more. The usability and variety of the apps available for work and for play are a big part of that.
It’s the device that seems to have an app for everything (except, as the joke goes, for actually making a phone call) – and here is a list of my 10 favorite apps for my real estate business...

According to Forbes, in an article released today (Thursday, June 25, 2009), Atlanta is among of the best cities to buy a home. Based on criteria such a price per square foot, supply and demand, as well as "basis of change in price per square foot, frequency of real-estate transactions, and how evenly distributed home-sales activity is in a metro area," Atlanta ranks #13 in the Top 25 List.

According to Relocation.com's survey of relocation trends for 2008, Atlanta is still a top pick for relocation.
Las Vegas ranked at the top of the list, despite plunging housing values: "Las Vegas was followed in popularity by Denver, Charlotte, N.C., Phoenix/Mesa, Portland, Ore., Seattle, Orlando, Fla., Washington, D.C., Atlanta and Tampa Bay/St. Petersburg.  The results are largely consistent with 2007."
And despite the country's depressing real estate news over the past couple of years, some states continue to see rising relocation rates, including Georgia, which saw a 36% rise in relocation requests.

The study, which was conducted by Forbes magazine, considered "affordability, inflationary pressures, and job prospects for the 20 percent of those older than 65 who are still employed." It also took into account number of physicians per capita and number of people who rely on Medicare.

According to REALTOR® Magazine Online, Atlanta has made it into the Top Ten list of the fastest-selling zips codes.
The study was conducted by Altos Research, which conducts real estate data from all over the country. #1 on the list - Sunnyvale, California, with an average of 66 days on the market.
Atlanta, Georgia 30340, slipped in at number 10, with an average of 91 days on the market. Atlanta, Georgia was just named one of the top ten Best Places for Business and Careers, according to Forbes.com.
The Southeast holds half of the top ten spots, and Atlanta made the jump from #25 last year to #6 for this year, benefitting "from strong job and income growth and a big reduction in crime."
Cities were judged on criteria such as "solid job growth, an educated labor supply and low business costs," as well as "stats on crime, educational attainment, presence of four-year colleges and an index on cultural and recreational opportunities."
Six of the ten cities are capital cities.

If you live in Georgia, you know we're in a drought. You also know that Lake Lanier hasn't looked this good in awhile.
In response to the water crisis, Governor Sonny Perdue has mandated a reduction in water consumption by 10% from last winter's usage (December 2006 - March 2007).
To do that, of course, we all need to cooperate. But it's not as difficult as you may think. With a few simple changes to your regular water usage habits, you could save gallons and gallons of water!
