The VA's IRRL Refinance Loan is Simple, Easy, & Beneficial for Veterans
It sounds like an obvious. Elementary too ...
A loan program's primary mission should be: Make life better and easier for the consumer(s) utilizing it.
If that's the goal, then the VA (Veteran's Administration) has nailed it with their Interest Rate Reduction Loan. This loan is better known by the acronym of "VA IRRL".
What does the VA IRRL loan do?
This loan serves U.S. Veterans already holding an existing VA Loan by refinancing their present loan into a new lower interest rate loan. This is accomplished all while requiring limited documentation from veteran borrowers.

I had no idea that this site/service existed for veterans until I read the following post offered by veteran and ActiveRain Member, Jerry Newman ... and I'm imagining that there are many like me, including veterans that could be benefiting from it.
I'm re-posting this info with the hopes that more eyes land on it ... learn of the veteran services offered via Vet Tix ... and also share the info with others.
We really can't do too much to say "thank you" to our active service members and veterans, but this, along with your sharing of the info, sure is a good start. (9 comments)

New Lenox, IL is going to host the only Chicagoland showing of "The Honor Flight" at its New Lenox AMC Showplace. (Directions)
The movie, "The Honor Flight" was chosen as an Official Selection of the 2012 Naples International Film Festival. The New Lenox screening, which takes place on February 19th, will be part of a larger screening billed by the Guinness Book of World Records as the largest film screening ever. (3 comments)
"Hiring our Heroes" Job Fair to be Held July 26th, at College of Du Page in Glen Ellyn, IL It was rather ironic that I read two particular articles from today's news back to back. The first was entitled, "Veterans Return From War to Find Jobs Gone". The second article was regarding the upcoming "Hiring our Heroes" Job Fair being held at the College of Du Page in Glen Ellyn, IL. The Job Fair, and the Pre-Job Fair Workshops also being offered, are aimed at helping our veterans returning from war (12 comments)
veterans: New Veterans' Outpatient Clinic Announced. Expanded Medical Services for Joliet Area Veterans Coming Soon.

Local, State, and U.S. members of Congress announced Wednesday, August 24th, that an agreement regarding the conversion of the Silver Cross Hospital in Joliet into a veterans' medical facility had been secured. This new agreement means that the present Emergency Room at Silver Cross Hospital's Joliet Campus, located at 1200 Maple Road in Joliet, will become a 60,000 square-foot Outpatient Clinic for local American veterans in the not-too-distant future. Although not a full-service VA hospital, the new Outpatient Clinic will offer expanded medical services to area veterans, plus save them the time and inconvenience of driving (3 comments)
Yesterday, I received an email from my son, John. It contained a brief explanation relating the upcoming plans of one of his fellow alumni/roommates from college along with a website address. I'm passing this information on to everyone here at AR to read. The information and request for action contained here are passed on without any intent of political opinion attached to it.
