east contra costa county home sales: Penny Wise and Pound Foolish - How not to sell your home! - 06/22/09 12:24 PM
I had a minor fender bender the other day and took the car into the shop this afternoon.  I wanted to see if the damage was over my deductible before I called the Insurance Company.  Sure enough it was.  The bumper on a Toyota van is over $700.00, and there may be hidden damage.  So I call the insurance company and set up the claim from the shop.  I declined to use my rental car company as I figured it will only take a couple of days.
Guess again.  I asked on my way out the door.  It will take at … (1 comments)

east contra costa county home sales: Want the Right Call? It’s Gonna Cost Ya – But not Much! - 05/26/09 09:50 AM
My two oldest of five boys are from a first marriage. One of the awkward compromises of the situation is the oldest boy goes to school in with us and plays Little League in East County Little League in East Contra Costa County. Son number two plays in the Continental Little League in the Walnut Creek/Concord area.
I see about the same number of games for both boys (as many as I can). Each league has it’s own style and approach. One big difference is that in the ECLL they pay umpires, in the CLL they have parents taking turns umpiring.

east contra costa county home sales: Making the Real Estate Process Easier – We Got Your Tools! - 05/15/09 06:48 AM
This post is for the Real Estate Professional and the Real Estate Consumer. When you get involved in a Real Estate transaction there is a lot of documents to sign. In the past this meant someone has to travel or reams of fax paper, with all the associated problems of faxing large stacks of documents.
Now there is another solution; on-line electronic signatures. I use Docusign. It is a … (0 comments)

east contra costa county home sales: Are you upside down on your Wachovia or World Savings Loan? – GOOD NEWS! - 04/17/09 06:26 AM

In this drastic down market many people owe more on there home than they can sell if for. This is called being upside down. If you cannot afford the house payment of need to sell your options may seem limited. You can pay the bank the difference at the time of the sale, this could be hundreds of thousands of dollars or you can walk away from the house and return it to the bank (foreclosure).
The third option is a SHORT SALE. Short sales have been problematic, as many banks were not cooperating with the short sale. Most banks … (1 comments)

east contra costa county home sales: Number One in East Contra Costa County Real Estate! - 04/08/09 09:42 AM

There are two basic skills in becoming a successful Realtor. The first one is the ability to obtain clients Buying Homes or Selling Homes. The second skill is the ability to successfully help Home Buyers and Home Sellers obtain their goal. I do not think the first goal is more important than the second, but you cannot achieve the second without achieving the first. My problem is I have always been better at the second than at the first. I am not a smooth person. A polite way of saying I am a big awkward guy who can put my … (0 comments)
