South Bound Brook is a borough in Somerset County, NJ. South Bound Brook was originally a section within Franklin Township, but it was incorporated as an independent community in 1907. Like most of Somerset County, the area was originally a farming community (mainly Dutch), that featured apple and peach orchards. Resident students attend the schools of the South Bound Brook School District in Pre-K through 8th grade. High school students attend Bound Brook High in neighboring Bound Brook.
