So far we have discussed ways to get listings,the importance of being at the office and learning new things, and of course self image..but maybe I should have started at the very beginning. I'm talking about when you are in Real Estate school and you have not even picked an office to work out of yet... I'm sure your instructor told you how to choose an office, but did he REALLY tell you how to pick an office? Here is my suggestion.. A Nationional Real Estate Chain is the first place I'd tell any new licensee to hang their license. Why? Well, You (26 comments)

Last Friday my partner and I interviewed for a listing. There were two other agents competing for the listing. The first agent happened to be one of the biggest names in Real Estate in our area. The last agent was a mystery agent, we didn't have any clue who it was going to be. We heard there were only going to be two agents, was the third a friend of a friend? Who knows. The fact was, we are fairly new..I have just under a year going for me and my partner, Katy just about 2 years. We do not have (12 comments)

Christmas is over, and people are slowly settling back to their normal life. Real Estate sales should be picking up, make sure you all get back to those people who were planning to do something "after Christmas"!! I'm sure you are all experts of follow-up calls!! Now, as for us new and not so new licensees, if you are looking for action, have called everyone on your contact list, you have gotten back with all the people who are going FSBO, you called everyone who had given you a Christmas card that you have not spoke to in a while...SO NOW WHAT??? I am quickly approaching my first anniversary as a Realtor. I have had a great first year and look forward to the year to come. Many say that my success is not the norm and that new licensees usually struggle to make a living for the first part of their career. I want to share with those who may be struggling the things that I have done in hopes that all new Realtors can increase their business. GET AS MANY LISTINGS AS YOU CAN!! Listings is the key for me.
