Last summer I relocated from Lewiston, Idaho to a quaint little town calledAsotin, Washington.  Asotin is just across the snake river from Lewiston,so it wasn't like I moved far away.  In fact, I can look out my front picturewindow and see the city of Lewiston, as well as the city of Clarkston,Washington. In my community, the Snake River separates Washington and Idaho.  I am licensedto sell real estate in both states.  Living here, a Realtor almost hasto have a license in both states-even though I know successful Realtors that do not have both.
A lot of people ask why I moved to Asotin..well … (6 comments)

All around the Lewis-Clark Valley the sign of the season ia all around, Santa flew in yesterday at the local mall, light are up, the boats are scattered throughout the rivers...Ahh, yes!  Steelhead season is a holiday time all in its own.  If you are an avid fisherman or lady you know what I'm talking about.  When you say you are going to you getting up at 4am to beat the rush you are not talking about the line at Wal-mart, you are talking about getting your boat launched and on the river!  This week end was particularly busy with the annual Steelhead … (6 comments)

washington: Hells Canyon and the Snake River--adventures in Idaho and Washington - 11/12/06 02:45 PM
The HELLS CANYON area was once homet to the NEZ PERCE and the SHOSHONE tribes.  There is still evidence today of the people of long ago all along the rivers edge.
Today boaters can explore the canyon's many archaeological sites and old homesteads.
The SNAKE RIVER is said to have gotten it's name from the first white explorers who misinterpreted the Shoshone people who identified themselves in sign language by moving their hands in a snake-like motion...But instead of referring to a snake, they were saying that they lived near the river.
There are many stories of how Hells Canyon.  It is … (9 comments)
