Prince William Virginia Homes Price Average of Homes Sold is Still moving higher to an average sales price of $259,985 which is a 22.40 % increase over last December's average sales price of $ 212,403 . Much lower inventory and low mortgage rates are pushing the increase of price. There are also less quality foreclosures and bank owned properties than a year ago. Well our MLS (MRIS) just released the most recent Arlington VA home sales statistics for our region on January 10 2010, for December 2009 home sales. What I decided to do was compare this to the same December time frame from December 2005 forward to December 2009. In December 2009 we saw 200 homes sold in Arlington Virginia. With the new year we get a chance to look at another full year of statistics. I deiced to run a tape for the average home sales price in Fairfax County VA for the entire year. Though we battled price and pulled up some incredible numbers the years average still only came in at $420,283 for the average home sales price for Fairfax County VA for all of 2009. They show Spotsylvania VA Homes Prices Dropped 39% from Peak in this 4 year comparison chart when we compare December 2008 sales to previous years. The high price in this chart is December 2005 when the average sales price was $371,840.
