According to the most recent Loudoun real estate sales statistics released by MRIS our MLS on January 10, 2009 for December Loudoun real estate sales, homes in Leesburg VA and homes in Sterling VA tied for first place.  Each sold 125 homes in Sterling Virginia and homes in Leesburg VA December for Loudoun county single family detached homes sold.  Some of the appeal of homes in Sterling VA is the prime location, it is very close in Loudoun County VA and  abuts Fairfax county.  It is also closer to the new Dulles METRO expansion that will start to move towards Dulles Airport in the next few … (2 comments)

Chantilly VA homes Sales for September 2009 were just release by MRIS our MLS system on October 10th, 2009 for single family detached Chantilly homes for salelocated in Loudoun County VA 20152.  There were 15 sales for the month of September 2009.  Below is a chart I generated from our MRIS to show you the price ranges of the homes sold.  The lower range had fewer sales because in single family homes available, and the higher price ranges had fewer sales because there were fewer buyers.

Loudoun VA Real Estate Trends - September 2009 Loudoun VA Real Estate Report for September 2009.  Sales of homes in Loudoun VA decresed 5.54%compared to same period in September 2008 at the same time the average sale sprice rose 7.03%.  The average price of Loudoun VA homes sold has moved higher - This tells us that the Loudoun VA Real Estate Market may have hit bottom and increased slightly.  We will still have to wait and see the trends in the next few months.  We must also know that mortgage rates are at historic lows and that lower rates will drive prices higher.
