Keeping Food Safe During and After Hurricane Irene
Fairfield, New Jersey is expecting Hurricane Irene to hit at some point between Saturday night and Sunday.  The hurricane force winds and heavy rain may cause power outages and flooding in our area.  Power outages and flooding can contaminate food so its important to keep food safe during and after Hurricane Irene.  You'll need to throw away any food that may not be safe to eat. When in doubt - throw it out!

Here we are in middle of REALTOR® Safety Month and although we should always use caution at open houses or when showing properties, this month is an extra reminder that we need to make our own safety a priority -- not just this month but every day of every month of every year!!

The latest warning I received from my multiple listing service (GSMLS) yesterday was that a couple with a young child enter the open house, and while the female engages in conversation, the male and child enter the bedrooms and remove electronics and jewelry from the property.   I can understand how the agent … (3 comments)
