WE have been dealing with this for a couple of years now...(thinking of 2005). WE had folks buying up lots on Oak Island for $220,000 and now their worth is only about $45,000. I am finding it difficult to tell a buyer that they can only get $45,000 for a lot that they paid $220,000. I think that it is almost better for them to give it back to the bank...but that is one of the reasons that we are in the position that we are in now.. Any advice? Ginger of Oak Island (7 comments)
Believe it or not. We had enough tomatoes for 1 quart tonight. I know that seems like a lot of work for 1 quart of tomatoes, but we grew them WE eat them, and we want t o save what we can't eat. So You can them..
We have not had a great tomato year this year and I feel like we must preserve all that we possibly can.
I make our spaghetti sauce with our tomatoes that we "put up"... It is the best sauce you can imagine.

I just listed a house that is now part of an estate. There was food left in the cabinets that is unopened and bought recently. Canned veggies and fruits, oil, sugar, spices, spaghetti noodles, jars of Spaghetti Sauce(unopened).. The executrix of the estate wants me to clean it out.
Do you think it is alright to give it to a food pantry, or church or salvation army to distribute to others that may be hungry. I hate to just throw it away.
What would you do?

Today we are having a bit of rain..again.. Yes, the garden is growing well....but so are the weeds. Maybe the veggies can get a head start if we try to eliminate the weeds. The seeds are planted, peas, tomatoes, eggplant, squash, cucumber and peppers. Great dinners on our table in the near future..
Wondered how may Quicken users are out there. I wait till the end of the year and then sync my bank with Quicken and then pull the reports off for my Accountant to do the compnay taxes.
It seems like I start over each year trying to relearn the program.
Just want to throw up my hands and quit...but I can't.
A Nesting Place has their Annual Christmas Pageant!
Our Granddaughter AngaElla was MARY in this years Christmas Pageant. She was so cute saying her part and looking after the other children, making sure they did their parts right.
The parents and grandparents of these precious ones were spell bound by the wonderful performance of these 2, 3, and 4 year olds.
It does warm the heart to see and feel a part of this exciting day for the children.
Anyway, we are having our 46th Class Reunion in a small town of Dublin, NOrth Carolina. WE graduated in a class with about 30 students. I think there will be about 20 of us there tonight. I bet your graduating class was more than 30 students.. It was fun to grow up with your friends and graduate with them and then to remain friends for the next 46 years.
