One of the biggest things that we are faced with still in our area, is the dreams of what was going on in 2004 and 2005. That day is gone.
What we have to do as a Realtor and as a professional is to educate our buyers as to TODAY'S Market. We all sold properties in 2005 that we are having to sell for half of what they sold during the HayDAys!
When I have a seller to call me and say that they bought in 2005 and HAVE to SELL right a way..I just cringe.
Who knew? This is a nationwide happening, not a local problem.

Love that song. Used to sing it a lot.
But today is a rejuvenating day for me. I have just enjoyed the day. Not doing anything that I don't have today. Although I may need to can figs preserves tonight. But basically, I am having a day off.
The only thing that i have to do later in the day...is to go to the deck with Jimmy and see the sun set and the pelicans finding their way home! and I do plan to do that.
Hope that you have been able to have a relaxing Saturday too.

As a young person, our family would watch TV on Saturday and Sunday evenings....Mama would pop ..popcorn and we would sit around and watch the Ed Sullivan Show. We would see the new performers enter into the entertainment arena.
I remember seeing Stevie Wonder doing the finger poppin thing and also the Jackson 5. Elvis with his gyrating hips..and of course the BEATLES!
Shirley Temple was my favorite. I would watch "The Good Ship Lolipop" and dance along with her. Then there was that "Masked Man on the White horse"....and then the Ape Man that swung from the vines...

Thank the Good Lord for another Good day.
Today I showed property to folks that I have sold to 20 years ago. It is good to still have folks that think you did a good job for them then and I hope that I can still do good for work them now.
They are choosing to move back to Oak Island after building their dream home on the banks of a river in Tennessee..
Then I have 4 "come and list my house" calls. WE worked all afternoon going CMA's f or these 4 folks and I will g o and see them next … (1 comments)

Wonderful Fig Tree in a Neighbors Yard..
These are luscious Figs that we will make preserves tonight
The Tree is loaded and many are still ripening.
This bush is about 12 feet tall and the figs are about the size of a small pear.
These are the biggest Figs I have even seen in my life..
I wanted to show these to Janice Zaltman.

ginger harper realtor: Quartz Composite or Marble..

I am in the middle of remodeling the kitchen and I am getting rather confused.
I think that I want to get the Quartz composite since it is solid and will not stain or scratch. I have learned right much regarding these counter tops but still need to have some opinions from my trusted ActiveRainers.
If you have either or know of any details that help me in making a decision, please share those thoughts with me.

Hi All,
Need your help desperately. I have a strong buyer who wants to buy a Manufactured home on 5Acres of land and I am having a hard time getting a lender to loan him the money.
Do you have any experience in a situation like this. He is a young, first time buyer who is a very hard worker and can certainly make the payment.
BBandT are a possibility but I have also heard of a USAA. I do not have any knowledge of it.

There is only one APP that means that much to me and that APP is the HotSpot App that is on my Galaxy 5 Samsung Phone.
I learned of this App this past Spring, when traveling with my Brothers to see an elderly Uncle in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. I knew that I had some work to do on the computer and thought that it would be so "cool" to be able to get on the computer and do a listing contract for a seller. At this moment, my husband is in the neighbors yard, (at Neighbor's request) picking figs so that we can do some fig preserve canning tonight.
Wow...am I excited!
Worked all day. Two listing appointments and now home to can. Do you realize the work that goes into the canning process?
Actually, I love it and we do enjoy doing this together.

I have been trying so hard for the past 3 months to get some answers regarding leads and how to get them.
It is hard to know where to spend your money and do the right thing.
Home.com is one of the places that I am trying to get set up with to receive leads on my listings.

to name a few.

A great day today.
I had a listing appointment yesterday morning and another one yesteday afternoon. Took one for sure and think that I will get the next one in a day or so.. And guess what! Got another one this afternoon and another one on Thursday.
I am helping to train one of our new agents and we had an appointment to list two houses. WE will list both of them and when one sells, we will take the other on off the market.
Seems like our sellers are wanted to do the right thing and price their property as it should be priced.

WE have had a glorious Day today on Father's Day
After church, all of the family and a few friends came to share Dinner with us.
I had cooked a roast, had corn, butterbeans, steamed broccoli, homemade mashed potatoes, home grown sweet potatoes, scratch biscuits, and a new cobbler that I created with Bananas and of course sweet tea.
We had such a great afternoon. It is such fun to gather vegtables from the garden and cook them for the family to enjoy.

My advice to new agents is to join networking groups. Join as many as you possibly can. It's a good way to get others to work for you. When YOU have the listing..you have every agent that is a Buyers agent needing what YOU are providing. Now you have to work for others out there also but they are in all different aspect in the of the professional work force.
Get your name out there. with your listings....... people can't buy what they can't see and don't know about. There are so many more ideas and suggestions but I also want to see what others … (2 comments)

F Stands for Family
O Stands for Occupation
R Stands for Recreation
D Stands for Dreams
It is a system for prospecting people that you know. It begins with you telling them "who you are and then is followed by The F.O.R.D. questions.
