ginger harper realtor: How Do YOU help FSBO's sell their House? - 05/25/15 12:10 AM

I have been searching for good ideas to help FSBO's come to me when they are frustrated with trying to sell thier home themselves. Need to do more FSBO's in 2015 and wondered if you have any ideas that will help.

1. I do go the the house and let them know that I am a Realtor and would liek to help them if they need my services.
2. I take the North Carolina Forms to them to let they know what needs to be signed by the buyer and the seller.
3. I ask them about their advertings budget.

This is going to be a fun filled weekend with family and friend for the holiday. It has been a great day with them all.
We started the weekend out by fixing a great spagetti supper for 14 to enjoy. Going on with nice roast beef with rice and gravy, peas, string beans, corn, spiced apples, biscuits with Peach cobbler for dessert.
Today the children swam in the creek, did some crabbing, went to the ocean for swim and washed off in the pool...then we ate barbecued ribs and chicken for a late dinner.

Thank the Good Lord for another Good day.
Today I showed property to folks that I have sold to 20 years ago. It is good to still have folks that think you did a good job for them then and I hope that I can still do good for work them now.
They are choosing to move back to Oak Island after building their dream home on the banks of a river in Tennessee..
It will be good to have them back home.

Our company is getting ready to do an Open House Extravaganza May 30 - 31 and June 6 - 7.
I am trying to come up with some very unusual ideas that will set my properties apart and draw more attention.

You are the experts and I has hoped that you would share some of your ideas. I want this to be the most successful Open Houses in the area.

Today we had rain again. Luckily we planted our seeds this past weekend and then the rain came. We had laid the garden out for the butter beans, sweet potatoes, squash, tomatoes, and cucumbers. Then as an added bonus, Jimmy put in giant sunflowers to brighten the garden.
We will enjoy fresh cucumbers and tomatoes for the 4th of July.

There is only one APP that means that much to me and that APP is the HotSpot App that is on my Galaxy 5 Samsung Phone.

I learned of this App this past Spring, when traveling with my Brothers to see an elderly Uncle in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. I knew that I had some work to do on the computer and thought that it would be so "cool" to be able to get on the computer and do a listing contract for a seller. Today we are having a bit of rain..again..
Yes, the garden is growing well....but so are the weeds.
Maybe the veggies can get a head start if we try to eliminate the weeds.
The seeds are planted, peas, tomatoes, eggplant, squash, cucumber and peppers.
Great dinners on our table in the near future..

It is so much fun to see our points grow...from the beginning to what we have now.
You can learn so much from your active rain associates. Many have really neat information that can give you a link or idea that you can then explore. I feel that I am not alone and that there are other Active rain folks just like me, needing new ideas or remembering the old tried and true systems that have worked for along time. Every day I learn something new from our AR Friends..

This is such a great idea and everyone can do this.
YOu get this great feeling in your heart when you do something for someone else and it is not expected.
It can be as simple as letting a car get in line that is stuck on a side road; smiling a someone with a frown on their face; letting someone get in line in front of you when they have only one or two items and you have a basketfull;

I sit in the evenings and make afgans for the folks in our local Nursing Center, I make up to 50 a year. … (1 comments)

As a young person, our family would watch TV on Saturday and Sunday evenings....Mama would pop .....popcorn and we would sit around and watch the Ed Sullivan Show. We would see the new performers enter into the entertainment arena.
I remember seeing Stevie Wonder doing the finger poppin thing and also the Jackson 5 along with The Beatles and Elvis..
What talented these folks had.
WE have lost so many of those talented individuals...does that mean we are getting that much older?

I wanted to run this by you all to see how you feel about it.

An agent in our area, is having Open Houses and this is how it works.

He will have 4 houses Open and the requirement is that you go into the houses with your lock box and leave your card on the counter.

This Open house will go on for 4 hours.....say from 10 to 2. After that time, he will draw 4 cards from the agents that went to preview the house and give away $100, $50, and 4 $25 gift cards.

Would that go well in your area?

There is going to be another season that will begin shortly. It has been fun watching the
program and seeing Southport.

Under the Dome is being filmed in our precious town of Southport NC.

This picture was in last nights final episode for this season.
It is in our Church, Trinity Methodist Church.
I see many of my friends and neighbors in this picture. It has been an exciting time in our little fishing village of Southport. We have had many movies filmed her but Under the Dome..has been a long time in shooting.
It is my understanding thst the next season will be filmed here also.

Our Weekends are for the Grandchildren..We can have from One to Six with us on the Weekends..

Do you take time to smell the roses? I have had the wonderful experience of spending time with my nine month old granddaughter, Marissa. We had such a great time pouring tea and eating snacks. Then we had to dress the babies dolls and feel them. WE loose precious time when we do not look around and see the beauty right under our noses. Time that can never be made up.

I think I learned that You Tube has now become the #1 Search Engine. Can anyone verify that for me.
I had always thought that Google was on top.

I would like to know the stats on the top search engines. Need also to learn of website optimization.

I have been fortunate enough to work face to face with sellers today. I had listed one of their lots and they were going to take it off the market. I did some research for them and suggested that they leave that lot on the market...because it can't sell if no one knows it is for sale..
They then asked to see if I would list one of their other lots. They are excited to sell and we priced it at the lowest price in the community.
There is stuff happening...
