Today we had rain again. Luckily we planted our seeds this past weekend and then the rain came. We had laid the garden out for the butter beans, sweet potatoes, squash, tomatoes, and cucumbers. Then as an added bonus, Jimmy put in giant sunflowers to brighten the garden.
For an additional suprised for me..He also planted two fig trees. WE love Fig Preserves..
We will enjoy fresh cucumbers and tomatoes for the 4th of July.

You may be from Southport North Carolina....if you can go down to Fishy Fishy and have a Crab Cake while sitting on the outside porch so that you can feed the Pelicans.
The Fishy Fishy Cafe is across the water from theses docks and besie the taller teal blue structure.
You may be from Southport North Carolina.......if you can go to the Wooden Boat Show that is on the waterfront...beside the Fishy Fish Cafe and The Provision Company. (Both have excellent Seafood meals.)
You may be from Southport if you can go to the dock and catch fresh fish for dinner.

ginger harper realtor: Linking Points, How do YOU get them?

Hi All!
I am still wondering how to get Linking points in the Active Rain system. This comes hard for me since i am not a wizz on the computer. I have worked on this for an hour or so with no success in the understanding of Linking.
I do not understand what a tag is either. Tags are not key words, right. What is the point of tags. Do they attach themselves to other words?
I know that some of you are laughing at this old dog learning new tricks. But at least I am
willing to learn.

Our Company, Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Realty~held an Open House Extravaganza weekend and many of us participated. I held 3 Open Houses with the help of my sellers and 2 other agents in the office.. They are excited to do anything that they can do in order to get the exposure for their houses too.
We were somewhat successful, with some folks looking around after the Easter Holidays. Springtime brings buyer to the area wanting a vacation home before Summer arrives..

Happy Easter,
Lots of folks are flocking to our local beaches to enjoy the warm, spring, sun and to enjoy the beautiful flowers that are surrounding us everywhere. If this is an indicator of the season, we have plenty of folks here. Now we will need to see if any of them are interested in real estate next week. We are prepared with numerous homes and lots for the picking.

Bubble Time with the Grandchildren!
When we were in Barcelona Spain last year, one thing we learned to do was to make
Giant Bubbles..
We brought the recipe for the Bubble mixture home with us and then figured out how to make the wand.
WE had endless hours of fun with these Bubbles over the Easter Holidays. All of the guests that we had for Easter Dinner and the Children and GrandChildren had their time with the Bubbles..
Church to celebrate the Risen Lord....Dinner with family and friends...Easter Egg Hunt and then ....you got it....BUBBLES...

I just had a scary thing to happen to me with Myspace. I sent up my profile a month or so ago and needed to update some information. Someone had gotten into my space and had placed some suggestive pictures and changed my profile all around. I would have just died of embarrassment if one of my owners saw that mess.

Easter is the most blessed time of the year. It is a time for remembrances of the past. I think back over the Easters that I have experienced for the past 60 years. It always began with a trip to the front yard to find the most beautiful azalea to pin on my new Easter dress that my mother made for me the week before. Those of you that are really good letter writers I would like to find out if you would consider sharing some ideas about how to approach a lender in order to get possible foreclosures that I can list and sell.
I have been trying to break into this market with the bankers and mortgage lenders and do no seem to be getting anywhere.
If you also have a website for information, I would like to visit that also.
Any help will be greatly appreciated..

Hello ActiveRainers..
I have been trying all day to find out who to talk with here in North Carolina, particularly Brunswick County, to list foreclosed properties here.
I have shown a property that was listed in Southport and the agent is in another county. This property was not even in our MLS.
I feel that I can do a better job of representing this property to Agents, if I listed it and I had Open HOuses in it and I had it in the MLS and the local paper.
I have no idea WHO to contact..

Well Hello AR members...
I held an Open House in St James NC. The house is located on the Golf Course and is built so professionally. They call the style Low Country. There is a lot of beautiful tile and hardwood floors through out. Stylish arched doorways with columns. WE do not see this standard of building along our coastal area of North Carolina.
Problem, there were only 10 or so agents to come out and view this house. Even with us offering gift cards and gifts and food. We served chicken salad croissants, wheat and plain rolls with ham, cheese, turkey, and … (6 comments)

I actually tried this before I chose to pass it on. You may want to do the same thing. It worked for me instantly. I called and asked for Kerr Drug, Concord, NC ... immediately, I heard Kerr Drug on Church Street ( I smiled ) and then instantly Bob, the Pharmacist said, Kerr Drug Pharmacy. . . .this will save us money because it states that it is nationwide and absolutely FREE. Leave it up to Google~

Hi All,
Need your help desperately. I have a strong buyer who wants to buy a Manufactured home on 12 Acres of land and I am having a hard time getting a lender to loan him the money. Do you have any experience in a situation like this. He is a young, first time buyer who is a very hard worker and can certainly make the payment.
BBandT are a possibility but I have also heard of a USAA. I do not have any knowledge of it.

My advice to new agents is to join networking groups. Join as many as you possibly can. It's a good way to get others to work for you. When YOU have the listing..you have every agent that is a Buyers agent needing what YOU are providing. Now you have to work for others out there also but they are in all different aspect in the of the professional work force.
Get your name out there. with your listings....... people can't buy what they can't see and don't know about. There are so many more ideas and suggestions but I also want … (5 comments)

Today I have been working on social networks and getting more confused. We started out with Twitter, then facebook, then My Space, and then ended with Ping.
If we just worked on each one of these sites it would take hours to update each of these sites. I find it difficult to even to Craigs List. Do you get results with it?

Thank God it's Monday.....And it has been an ok day. The start of the week. Appointments to attend. Open House tomorrow. Direct mail to go out. Advertising to set up..
It has been the usual but I felt good about it. Maybe because the day was sunny and bright. This fools me into believing that Spring is Near...(That's a funny one) WE have many more cold days to go..

Lisa Lowe wrote a great post regarding cleaning out your database..I am starting to do that..
I asked Lisa to please keep us posted. I have a data base with 4700 names in Top Producer. I am always afraid to delete people. I send an email out to all each month about the Stats of the Market. Then those that do not have an email...about 1000...I send letters to. In the long run...I am cleaning out bad leads...and tweeking the remaining ones.. It is a monumental task for me..
