Wow..
I had two closings this week. The market is so slow that it is a real joy to have payday.
It still seems like getting our properties to closing seems more difficult than it was in earlier years. Lenders seem to be giving our clients a harder time unless that are squeeky clean. I understand why this is happening. If they had been more diligent earlier, we may not be in this mess.
Just my thoughts...today.

In just a few days, Summer will be here. In driving to Durham on Saturday, the temps were in t he 97 degree range. I think that is too hot for us yet. There must be something to this global warming thing.
Are you experiencing hotter temperatures than you normally see this time of the year. I know that the garden is doing well. But we are storing rainwater to water it with. Well water is just not the same.
We are eating cucumbers and squash from the garden now.
Nothing could be better.

I do. I am trying to do everything that I can and learn as much as I can in order to be a better Realtor and AR member.
I have learned so much from all of you. Wish that we could have some kind of a forum to share ideas with. I know that giving ideas of what works for one Realtor, may just possibly work of another Realtor. We have to take the good with the bad.

ginger harper: Graduation Day ~ Saturday at South Brunswick

Today is graduation day for the seniors at South Brunswick High School. It is so good to see the babies that you loved 18 years ago, be at this turning point in their lives. I am so proud of these young folks that are taking a big step forward into adulthood.
Many of these graduates are going off to college to get an education. Hopefully, some of them will come back to Brunswick County and join our work force here.
I am so proud of them..

I am finding myself in uncharted waters when it comes to closing a transaction right now. Banks are giving buyers a harder time it seems. Are you seeing it? Hidden fees that you are not familiar with?
It seems like everyone is having a harder time so therefore trying to make up deficient with additional fees. I have just been wondering if it is the lenders, originators, attorneys, inspectors that I am working with or not.

Living in the Southeastern part of North Carolina, we see a lot of turbulent weather during this time of the year. But what a joy to see the rain come in and water the precious seeds that we plant in our garden.
This year our garden is growing with Butterbeans, peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers, sweet potatoes, squash, cantaloupe sunflowers. It is absolutely glorious to see this happening right before our very eyes.
In about a month, we will enjoy the fruits of our labor.

Betty Johnson is a good friend and associate that works with me at Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Realty in Southport, North Carolina.
Betty celebrated her 70th Birthday today. Being the singer in the office...I checked to see if their were any customers in the office. ( this was early) when told that there were none....I sang Happy Birthday to Betty on the office Page...
This was a highlight of her day.
Glad that I could make that happen..

It has been a long time since I have had Opportunity time.
We find ourselves a bit short with illness and accidents. Therefore, I am on Duty today.
I suppose that all of us should know what to do in case of emergencies like this so I am getting my training right now.

ginger harper: Have you ever fallen off of a horse?

A dear friend and associate of mine, fell off of her horse yesterday. It was a big horse that has some Clydesdale blood in it.
Her horse was spooked and she fell off. From the fall, she sustained a broken back and will have surgery tomorrow. So keep her in your prayers.
WE are in great hopes that all will go well and she will be able to conduct business at home as she heals.

Wow...
I wrote an offer to purchase today...and it was so exciting. I had to get someone to look over the papers to make sure that I filled in all of the blanks.
I do not know what your market is doing..but we have been so terribly slow...but now, things seem to be picking up.

Thinking of PoP goes the Wessel.....
Today I have been working on social networks and getting more confused. We started out with Twitter, then facebook, then My Space, and then ended with Ping.
If we just worked on each one of these sites it would take hours to update each of these sites.

Hi all..
A wonderful rainy Active rain day...
I was in Dublin NC with the Gillespie side of my family celebrating the Gillespie Reunion of descendants of David Gillepie who was the first graduate of the university of North Carolina. UNC-Chapel Hill. Rah rah rah!!!
We left here this morning to join about 50 folks that are family in Dublin, the 3rd Sunday in May of each year. IT was great fun seeing family that we do not seen but once a year..
Hope that you have family experiences like this.

Hi All,
Today we were celebrated by our owners for being the "Best of the Best" with our company. Criteria being that you have to have so many sales and so many listings in the first quarter of the year. I think that is wonderful to be recognized for the hard work that you do.
Our company provided us with a nice lunch and then talked with us about the market here in the Southport ~ Wilmington area of North Carolina.
It was very pleasant.

I actually tried this before I chose to pass it on. You may want to do the same thing. It worked for me instantly. I called and asked for Kerr Drug, Concord, NC ... immediately, I heard Kerr Drug on Church Street ( I smiled ) and then instantly Bob, the Pharmacist said, Kerr Drug Pharmacy. . . .this will save us money because it states that it is nationwide and absolutely FREE. Leave it up to Google~

Lazy Rainy Saturday
Today has been one of those days that you cherish. Actually, we were up early and getting the grandchildren ready for the EASTER EGG HUNT on the GARRISON grounds in Southport. I had the 3 year old and the 7 year old with me. The first Egg hunt was for the older grandson, Jonah. He filled his basket full of eggs and candy. Then it was the 3 year old hunt.
