WE have had another memory making day today.
After Church, we had 15 of the family to come to dinner for Nice Roast Beef, Rice and Gravy, Butterbeans, Corn, Garden Peas, Rolls, Sweet Tea and then a variety of Pies and Cakes from Thanksgiving.
Three of the family left to go back to their homes. I miss then already.
Guess it is time for me to get started with the Washing and Cleaning that has to take place after the 25 folks that we had her for Thanksgiving Dinner.

ginger harper: We Ate Fish!

I know that I have told you over the past few days that we were going to have a seafood dinner from the creek.
Over the past 3 days, we have caught over 25 fish off the dock. WE caught Trout, Black Drum and Puppy Drum. Ranging from 3 pounds up to about 6 pounds. The Black Drum is the tastiest of all of the fish that we ate.
I cooked 7 large fish tonight along with boiled and fried shrimp, Cole slaw, french fries, hush-puppies, lemon pie and sweet tea.
What a feast we have had.

Today was one of the Best Days ever with this Family. We had a total of 18 people who came and dined and enjoyed each others company. It was so much fun. I had a chance to meet with some friends that I had not been able to spend time with in a very long time. WE sat and talked as though we had not been apart for 30 years. That is what it is all about. Being together and spending some time thinking about the Good Ole Days..

ginger harper: An Action Packed Saturday for this old Grandma

Great Day with the Grandchildren today.
They spent the night last night and after roasting Marshmallow and Hot dogs ....bath time came. I took a bit of time to get them out of the tub but they came out squeaky clean.
Next was the time that we built the Sleeping pallet. What fun...Every pillow and blanket was pulled into our bedroom the makes the sleeping bed. Marissa, the 4 year, wanted to be able to touch my hand as she was falling asleep. WE all slept fairly well.

"Safe Haven", the Nichols Sparks Movie, filmed in Southport NC. Take a look at the Movie Trailers...It will give you some indication of the movie and the actions. Such a fun time when they were filming in Southport, North Carolina.
The movie will come out in February 2012. I do hope that you will get the opportunity to see it. Many of my friends and neighbors will be participating. I may be in a few scenes myself..

ginger harper: Are BPO's worth the time and effort?

Is it really worth doing BPO's today?
I have tried to figure this out and this is want I have come up with. I need around $100 per BPO in order to break even. I pay my Administrative Assistant $12. per hour for the work that she does. Some of the BPO's are in the lower end of the County. That is a round trip of about 2 hours. Doing the research to meet the criteria of the BPO will take an hour and then an hour to put the work together. I am beginning to believe that it is not … (3 comments)

We seem to be paying the price for Katrina and for inland Flooding. If you are opposed to higher Insurance premiums...send the email today..
Today is the last day to send in comments to the Department of Insurance in opposition to the 30% rate increase!
We in North Carolina, especially those of us on the coast, should not have to pay for Katrina OR for inland flooding !

One of my agents just told me that she was blogging with a friend and one of her friends...friends....saw her site and asked if she was in real estate. Of course, my agent told her that she was. They got together and my agent sold them a house. Wow! Don't we all wish that it was that easy! One never knows who is reading what we write. Suppose we must make our information as informative as possible.

How do you insert a picture into the body of your blog. I had a wonderful experience with the Grandchildren digging sweet potatoes this past Sunday and it was so good that I just wanted to share it with my Active Rain friends. They got dirty and sweaty but had a glorious time tugging at the vines and bringing up large beautiful sweet potatoes. Is Business picking up for you?
I am in the coastal part of North Carolina, where the Atlantic Ocean and the Cape Fear River join. It has been slow here for the past 4 years but I am beginning to see some increased activity. Everyone says that we have reached the bottom...I am not so sure, but I do know that prices are much more affordable. I almost feel that we are back to pre 2005 prices. Does anyone else get that feeling?

I have been going through websites and signing up to do BPO and REO. It seems like I may get one a week. But I need to list properties in the area that are being sold by Freddie or Fannie.
I do not know where to get in touch with them to sign up. I know that many successful agents have been able to connect in with a Bank or Lender and I just want to know how to do it also.

We had such a great Sunday today. Great Sermon....Great Music and a Great Lunch with Family.
Roast Beef, Whipped potatoes,corn, butterbeans, garden peas, gravy, rice, sweet tea and strawberry short cake for dessert.
CAke is made by 1 cup of Sugar, 1 cup of self rising flour and 6 eggs..Beat by hand if you need to and serve with strawberries in sugar syrup and coolwhip...
Easy fun and great to eat..

Hello to all of you wonderful folks out there..
We in Brunswick County, North Carolina are having a hard time feeding our needed. We have food banks opened up to feel those in the County that are hungry. I have gone to our church and we are asking for our congregation to help us fill up the shelves with food.
Today my daughter and I picked up the food that our Coldwell Banker Sea Coast office has collected, went and bought more to go with that...and then took it the food bank. I do hope that the folks that need … (0 comments)

Ashley Allen is telling us the best times to Blog. She says that it is best at lunch and then after 5:00 and on the
weekend..
On face book make a post every other day...That is when you get the mosr response.

Timing is everything. I understand it better now. I took this listing 6 month ago...and they have now relisted with another broker for less. Timing is everything. I have a client, whose former business was advertising. Just the other day, he said, Ginger you must get the word out. It is the time to BUY. Interest rates are at an all time low, and prices of real estate are unbelievable.
He is right. So in my next ad, I put the words on the AD and I am receiving calls ...from, buyers, seller and other agents.
