ginger sells southport: We roasted Pastor Skip!

Today our church, roasted our Pastor Skip Williams tonight. He has been our minister for 7 years. Our church, Trinity United Methodist Church in Southport NC was Blessed to have Skip with us.
He started many different ministries here. I can not possibly name them all but I do want to mention a few. The Stephens Ministries, The Prayer Shaw Angels, Kiros Cookie Prison Ministry were very active in our church.
Many folks have benefitted so much with the work of this fine man. He will be moving to Raleigh NC to pastor a church there.

ginger sells southport: Quick Trip to Durham NC

Today we left home early to go and see my 92 year old Mother in Law, who has recently been ill. We wanted to make sure that all was going well with her.
Before we left this morning, I picked some hydrangeas from the year and added a few gardenias for the wonderful smell.
This was delightful to her. It pleased her so.
We have a great visit and found her in great spirits.
I am very Thankful for her Love to us all.

Well,
Another week has ended and I am seeing more activty that I have all year.
This week, I have written one contract, had an agent to bring me another contract, and sent closing papers to the attorney and listed 2 houses on Oak Island. That is pretty good for this week. If this could just happen every week, I may be able to live.
Hope that you are experiencing the much needed activity too.

Betty Johnson is a good friend and associate that works with me at Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Realty in Southport, North Carolina.
Betty celebrated her 70th Birthday today. Being the singer in the office...I checked to see if their were any customers in the office. ( this was early) when told that there were none....I sang Happy Birthday to Betty on the office Page...
This was a highlight of her day.
Glad that I could make that happen..

We are faced with a difficult situation in our family. We are trying to be understand but are finding it hard to realize the ramification of the actions that have been taken place. WE have small children that are involved and we love these precious ones.
If you have felt the pain that we are feeling now, please share with us how you get thru this.

Wow....On Duty!
I am just not used to this. I usually have too much to do but today...I volunteered.
The first time the phone rang...I just about jumped out of my skin. Then remembered that
I must be the one to answer it and put the call through to the agent.
Guess what....the call was from me.

It has been a long time since I have had Opportunity time.
We find ourselves a bit short with illness and accidents. Therefore, I am on Duty today.
I suppose that all of us should know what to do in case of emergencies like this so I am getting my training right now.

Just finished doing 2 BPO's and getting them emailed to the originator. What great fun. I find that doing these keep my skill sharp for our local market.
I enjoy the challenge of getting comparable sale together and then looking at what the competiion for this piece of proepty is going to be.
Do you have a lot of these in your area? I would lke to do more.

I am a member of the Sea Notes Choral Society in Southport. We perform 3 times a year and do great concerts that is enjoyed by all.
On the 4th of July we will be doing a concert of patriotic music. WE have the official 4th of july parade for the state of North Carolina.
If you should be close by during the 4th ....come on by and enjoy it all

Today was a glorious Sunday that we spend with our children and grandchildren. After church, we dined on a Sunday Dinner that consisted of nice Roast Beef, Rice and Gravy, Field peas, butter beans, stewed squash and onions, ice tea and topped off by homemade Peach Ice cream.
Hope that you spent a wonderful day with you family also.

Today was a family day.
First event was soccer for our 7 year old grandchild. It is so much fun seeing the young ones learning life skills on a soccer field. That is what we saw today. When you are behind....you work hard to do the right things and to pull together as a team to make it work.
We saw that happen today.
Then to the pool to cool off. What a great day.

What an exciting day!
I went shopping for the Birthday Party of our little princess, Marissa. She is the most delightful child who makes us all smile all the time. Never a bad moment. I surely hope that this sweetness continues for the rest of her life because she is a joy to us and to those around her.
Tonight we will have a cook out with family and friends and celebrate God's Gift to us.

I had a great morning showing 3rd floor units to a delightful couple with 2 small precious children. It is great fun to get out and meet with folks to see what their needs are.
I think that our most important job is to match people with properties. That will deteremine the success of us all.

Grand Child is having her 1st Birthday today.. She is a precious little thing that was born at home one year ago today. No time to get to the hospital.
We will be celebrating with her tonight in her home with a cookout and all of the fixins'.
Neighbors and extended family will be with us to celebrate the birth of this precious little one.

Today we are having a bit of rain..again..
Yes, the garden is growing well....but so are the weeds.
Maybe the veggies can get a head start if we try to iliminate the weeds.
The seeds are planted, peas, tomatoes, eggplant, squash, cucumber and peppers.
Great eatings a bit late in the summer.

I sometimes find it hard to get back into the swing of things when I have had a weekend with famiy and friends. Do you have a hard time too?
The grandchildren were here from Greensboro and we did the cookout thing, swimming in the creek, the Ocean and the Pool.
I treasure these memories that we are building today.

Today has been a weekend filled with family and friend for the holiday. It has been a great day with them all.
We started the weekend out by fixing a great spagetti supper for 14 to enjoy. Going on with nice roast beef with rice and gravy, peas, string beans, corn, spiced apples, biscuits with Peach cobbler for dessert.
Today the children swam in the creek, did some crabbing, went to the ocean for swim and washed off in the pool...then we ate barbecued ribs and chicken for a late dinner.
