ginger sells southport: We Ate Fish!

I know that I have told you over the past few days that we were going to have a seafood dinner from the creek.
Over the past 3 days, we have caught over 25 fish off the dock. WE caught Trout, Black Drum and Puppy Drum. Ranging from 3 pounds up to about 6 pounds. The Black Drum is the tastiest of all of the fish that we ate.
I cooked 7 large fish tonight along with boiled and fried shrimp, Cole slaw, french fries, hush-puppies, lemon pie and sweet tea.
What a feast we have had.

Today was one of the Best Days ever with this Family. We had a total of 18 people who came and dined and enjoyed each others company. It was so much fun. I had a chance to meet with some friends that I had not been able to spend time with in a very long time. WE sat and talked as though we had not been apart for 30 years. That is what it is all about. Being together and spending some time thinking about the Good Ole Days..

Our Company always feels that doing an Open House will help sell a property. I have never been very successful with Open Houses and wanted to reach out to my Active Rain family for some tips and ideas. When I hold an Open House, I usually spend about $400 on Food and Drink and then we have Door prizes or gas card give aways which can amount to another $200 to $300.

I do not know how many of you are in the path of Hurricane Sandy , but we are right on the jutted out part of North Carolina. I pray for all of those that will be affected with this unprecedented storm. It is wide spread and will do a lot of damage.

WE had such a fun time with the movie industry that we experienced this summer in Southport, North Carolina. After the 4th of July and things calmed down, the Movie wanted to film the Downtown area of Southport with a Parade with the floats and Marching bands to go along with it. I have a friend that has done some Website work for another Realtor. The reworked the site and added information on other communities. Did the writing and doctored the pictures.
She spend right much time on this and after it was completed, submitted a bill for the work that was done.
The Realtor, looked it over and said it was good. That he liked it. My friend submitted a bill for $75. for her work, which is totally reasonable.
The other agent, changed his password to get into the website and them offered her $30 for her work. She said no, … (23 comments)

Today was my husbands Birthday and we have had a marvelous day with the family.
Church first thing, (I told the Minister that it was Jimmy's Birthday) and he made a big deal of it.
Then home for the Sunday Dinner that I had prepared before going to church.
Menu:
Roasted Pork Ribs
Beef Roast
Corn
Peas
Butterbeans
Rice
Buttered Potatoes
Gravy
EggPlant and Onions
Sweet Tea
and of course Birthday Cake that had blue icing..(turned our tongues and teeth blue)
Just a very wonderful Family day with 12 folks at the table.

How do you insert a picture into the body of your blog. I had a wonderful experience with the Grandchildren digging sweet potatoes this past Sunday and it was so good that I just wanted to share it with my Active Rain friends. They got dirty and sweaty but had a glorious time tugging at the vines and bringing up large beautiful sweet potatoes. I have been going through websites and signing up to do BPO and REO. It seems like I may get one a week. But i need to list properties in the area that are being sold by Freddie or Fannie.
I do not know where to get in touch with them to sign up.

I am having a bit of a dilemma right now. I own a Blackberry Curve and I am not pleased with it.
I am searching for a new phone and am trying to find out which one will be better for me.
I am not that tech savvy but have outgrown the Blackberry. Will be doing some out of the country traveling and need to be in touch with the office in North Carolina..

Well, I find that my favorite color of makeup has been discontinued.
I was hoping that there someone out there that may know a Mary Kary Consultant and
may still have some Honey Beige laying around.
It is a shame, when you find a color that you love, to have it discontinued by a company so that you have to
experiment with other colors to find the right one.

Timing is everything. I have a client, whose former business was advertising. Just the other day, he said, Ginger you must get the word out. It is the time to BUY. Interest rates are at an all time low, and prices of real estate are unbelievable.
He is right. So in my next ad, I put the words on the AD and I am receiving calls ...from, buyers, seller and other agents.
Maybe there is something to telling the world...that it is time to buy!

Each quarter, our company, Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Realty, has a Best of the Best night.
Our owner puts forth certain criteria to meet this honor.
I was fortunate enough to reach this for this quarter and they awarded us with a nice gathering and did door prizes and lots of good food. Our owner is a good person, who feel that ...doing for us...makes a stronger company.

WE, I really do not feel that old, but the truth be known....I am.
I surely do not feel that old.
Anyway, we are having our 46th Class Reunion in a small town of Dublin, NOrth Carolina. WE graduated in a class with about 30 students. I think there will be about 20 of us there tonight.
I bet your graduating class was more than 30 students..
It was fun to grow up with your friends and graduate with them and then to remain friends for the next 46 years.
