Today we had our awards ceremony in Wilmington NC. It was so much fun to have about 300 of us getting together.
Tim Milam, our wonderful owner, gave us a large breakfast and then we began the ceremony. Awards were given to persons and teams that sold between 2-3 million going on up to 38 Million. We had one team that sold this much.
I was most impressed with this one single mom of 8 children that sold and closed 12 million by herself.
My Hat is off to Her.

This was such a great Sunday today.
We took the little ones to church and met our daughter and other grandson. Had a great sermon.
Came home and had a wonderful Spagettie Dinner with salad and french bread.
After eating and cleaning up the kitchen, we sat around and watched Shirley Temple in The little Colonel...The 5 year old and the 2 year old were captivated.

Today is such a glorious day. Got to sleep in before I had to go and work with a seller. This was a easy thing to do. They want to sell their condo and sell it quick so we did a $100K reduction. Don't think I have ever reduced a property $100.000 before. We hope to have a buyer this week.
So Sunny Saturday has be good for me.

I just had a scary thing to happen to me with Myspace. I sent up my profile a month or so ago and needed to update some information. Someone had gotten into my space and had placed some suggestive pictures and changed my profile all around. I would have just died of embarrassment if one of my owners saw that mess.
Can anyone share with me what could have happened?

What a great day to get out and meet and greet the public. In a course that I am taking, I am required to get out and meet folks, hand out my business card and enjoy talking with them. This has been such fun...you do this of course with a Smile on your face.
In the process today, I picked up four leads and have one appointment this week. That is not bad on a sunny day doing what I should do.

Have you heard about the 100 Days to Greatness program with Brian Buffini. This is a program that is based basically on referrals. It tells us how to go back to folks that we have worked with in the past to see if they will give us a referral.
The first thing that I had to do was to rate my database into categories of A referrals b referrals, c referrals and d referrals. (Keep in mind that d referrals just need to be deleted.)

Have you been watching the Westminster Dog Show? I have been absolutely mystified by the many different breeds of dogs that are around the world. There are terriers, collies, beagles, greyhounds, Labradors, poodles, boxers, etc.
They have a toy breed, working breed and many more kinds.
I was raised with a Mutt named Zip. Zip was a mix of border collie and collie. She was the best dog ever.

WE went to the Buffini Introduction in Raleigh about 2 weeks ago. Many of us were very impressed with the presentation and there for 8 of us that believe what we heard and we are going to continue on with the course for the next 100 days. I think it will jump start my real estate career of 29 years. I am truly looking forward to this.

Well today I went out and bought a little Dell to be at home with me. I have 4 computers at the office but with our programs that we need to operate at the office, we need a computer that does ZP and Windows 7..you have to have both. What aq bummer..
This leaves little space to spread out as we sometimes need to do.

Our wonderful owner of Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Realty, gave us an opportunity to go and see Brian Buffini last week He is a most agreeable entertainer and trainer. I believe what he is teaching. Do this easy....not hard. This is what I think is most important for us as realtor agents in the 2011 year.
You know what is important for us as agents. Back to Basics..

This was an excellent course and I learned things that I will use. I have not committed yet but will hold all options open.

I am still in the 4 day workshop with Mike Ferry Trainer, David Long. He is doing an excellent job and I feel motivated to take this real estate business as a real job. I have been an agent and top producer since 1983 but know and realize that we must change with the times.
The times of the day are not what they were 20 years ago...so...here I go once more.
The knowledge that we learn can never be taken from us.

I don't know about you all, but I am having a harder time pleasing the BPO folks. I am giving them factual information based on our local MLS and the figures tell the truth. They are wanting us to go back and get closer comparable properties When nothing has sold in that area you must go outside that community to find comparable to do the analysis.
I am also finding, after I have done the work...they order has been canceled.
Then, we have spent our time and energy to do the work and will not be compensated for it.
