March comes in like a lamb here on the eastern coast of North Carolina. I have always heard that if March come in like a lamb...that it goes out like a Lion.
I do hope that this is not true for 2011.
We need a break here and need for the sun to continue to shine and the temperatures to rise...and for folks to come and see the beautiful North Carolina Coast of Oak Island....in Brunswick County.

southport realtor: Diabetes; Deadly Killer

This week, one of my dear friends, lost her son due to depression that was from being diabetic. His depression was so deep that he could no longer deal with life. He needed a release that he could not find on this earth.
WE have all had a hard time dealing with his loss. His Mother and Dad are good strong Christian folks that need our love and care. Lift them in prayer tonight.
This young man, at 39 years old, was a very talented and accomplished chef that brought style into our delightful resturants here in Southport North Carolina.

Condo Associations
Have you ever heard of a condo association foreclosing on a condo and then buying it with dues of the owners?
We are having something like that going on here and I do not know who to go to for help. I can't help but think that this is wrong. Have rules changed....if they have, I feel that human decency has eluded us.
I have great concern for the folks that lost their unit even though they were trying to work out a payment schedule with the association.

Today is such a glorious day. Got to sleep in before I had to go and work with a seller. This was a easy thing to do. They want to sell their condo and sell it quick so we did a $100K reduction. Don't think I have ever reduced a property $100.000 before. We hope to have a buyer this week.
So Sunny Saturday has be good for me.

I just had a scary thing to happen to me with Myspace. I sent up my profile a month or so ago and needed to update some information. Someone had gotten into my space and had placed some suggestive pictures and changed my profile all around. I would have just died of embarrassment if one of my owners saw that mess.
Can anyone share with me what could have happened?

southport realtor: Doing BPO's

Today, I had five BPO's to do on my schedule. Two in Shallotte, one in Holden Beach, on in Boiling Spring Lakes and one in Winnabow. I tried to do the two in Shallotte yesterday, but got to the community to find that it was gated and I had none of the codes to gain my entrance. With a listing appointment 30 miles away, I had to come back to office and try to complete today.
Need more facts when going out to do this work.

Have you been watching the Westminster Dog Show? I have been absolutely mystified by the many different breeds of dogs that are around the world. There are terriers, collies, beagles, greyhounds, Labradors, poodles, boxers, etc.
They have a toy breed, working breed and many more kinds.
I was raised with a Mutt named Zip. Zip was a mix of border collie and collie. She was the best dog ever.

WE went to the Buffini Introduction in Raleigh about 2 weeks ago. Many of us were very impressed with the presentation and there for 8 of us that believe what we heard and we are going to continue on with the course for the next 100 days. I think it will jump start my real estate career of 29 years. I am truly looking forward to this.

Thank heavens!
The sun came out today and it has been glorious.
After taking the grandchildren to church with us, we came home to a barbeque pork dinner with the fixins'.
We had the Barbeque ribs, buttered potatoes, sweet peas, corn, hard rolls, sweet potatoes and sweet tea. No dessert today. (ON a diet)
Then watched a Shirley Temple movie with the little ones.

It is a lovely saturday with Bill out in the Atlantic kicking up some waves on our shore. Not bad at this time.
Today, we had 2 of our grandchildren with us enjoying country life. Joshua is 3 and his sister Marissa if 1. Those ages really keep you hopping. When nap time came, only grandma wanted to nap.
So it was walking on the dock and yard till little one gave up and took her nap.
Grandma did to then...

We have Boost every Monday morning at 9:30. It is a meeting in which we meet with our Broker in Charge and go over the statics of our local market. We analyze the figures from our MLS and the subdivisions that we do right much business in. WE are finding that our market is off over 50 % of the highs in the 2005 time period. Much adjusting needs to take place with our inventory,.

southport realtor: What did we do without Computers?

Over the past week, I have been having computer problems with my backup computer in the office. I had our support guys to take a look and they did not seem to know what was wrong. I called the Dell folks and they charged $49. to just run an analysis and said nothing was wrong.
Being at my wits end....I went to CG computer experts and he told me that my hard time had died...So he put a new one in and I merrily went back to get the computer and "crank her up".. It looked funny, acted funny and finally … (5 comments)

Today was a family day.
First event was soccer for our 7 year old grandchild. It is so much fun seeing the young ones learning life skills on a soccer field. That is what we saw today. When you are behind....you work hard to do the right things and to pull together as a team to make it work.
We saw that happen today.
Then to the pool to cool off. What a great day.

Today was a most unusual day. I have been working on getting an oceanfront house under contract for the past few days....and a buyer called me yesterday to show him some condos on Caswell Beach. I showed the couple 3 units. Today they called me back and wanted to see if I could draw up the contract. Guess what I said............YES OF COURSE I CAN MEET YOU AT THE UNIT TO GET THE CONTRACT SIGNED...and I did. We are negotiating that contract as I wait...
