Credit Bumps that Delay Closings. It was a topic of conversation at a 50th birthday party of one of my clients the other night that got me going on this credit bump subject again. As the month comes to a close and the real estate closings line up for closing times (hopefully so), some clients you may be closer to personally than others. Thanksgiving Aftermath. Probably prefer not to say too much since I ate so much. The company of my kids was wonderful, enjoyable & I did not need to do all the cooking! Thank goodness for the great girlfriends they have. From the stuffed tofurkey, turkey breasts, caramelized sweet potatoes and quinoa to the splendid homemade apple turnovers, it was a day of Thanksgiving for all...we all feel blessed in our lives.
Walking on the beach before the kids arrived provided solace in the day...my neighborhood was a ghost town...everyone had left for grandmas homes I presume. It was the Thanksgiving aftermath that provided … (19 comments)

Sometimes there is no Amazement Why a Home went into Foreclosure in RI. You have to wonder about all the nice folks who lose their homes of no fault of their own but due to a short sale gone awry, loss of a job, hardship, divorce, medical issues, etc. BUT much of what I am seeing are due to being drug houses, homes that never had homeowners paying their mortgage or homeowners who put amenities in that just put them over the money edge. Underwriters and Over Writers...I am one fed up Realtor. Just like the great mobile phone commercial which says 'can you hear me now' I am all about setting the stage right now for lining up the underwriters who are overwriting everything that comes at them.
When you have a great first time home buyer with super credit, great job and the underwriters come back time after time on items that were clearly explained in documents, I believe, in the first submission. This is a story of a dish saga that has just begun and parts of it are very amusing as well as disturbing...see there is this realtor who has this dinnerware ...okay, china i might add that he had when he was previously married to wife #1. They are expensive dishes but wife #2 does not like them and tried to sell the $2500 set at a consignment store recently for $230.

FANNIE MAE comes late to the party - but arrives! This was one busy week for all my clients from accepted offers to home inspections to the surprise of all!! Are you ready and I have to share this for my first time home buyer because she has been an amazing and patient client throughout this REO (real estate owned – bank owned) home purchase…FANNIE MAE agreed to do all the repairs we requested post home inspection even though it was an ‘AS IS’ Warwick home for sale that she had a contract on. Woo Hoo! We all jumped up and down.
