under water mortgages: Are Mortgages like Marriage Vows?

Just like marriage vows, mortgage holders need help along the way with arbitration, negotiation, remediation, modification and sometimes divorce or closure...sometimes the mortgage holder will also 'stick it out' to the final end to no avail. Tell me are mortgages like marriage vows? So frustrating to me to try to help someone along in this process and not have the homeowners heed any advice as the bank gives them the 30 day notice to vacate the property. As many Rhode Island homeowners struggle with being under water on their home mortgages many in North Kingstown RI are truly under water on their home! If you are watching your newscast in some form you can't imagine the past days flooding events and what is happening is symbolically showing the depth of homeowners in RI who are truly under water on their mortgages. At this point I'd like Moses to part the great sea of water for many of my clients and what they are experiencing today!
