What is Wrong with U.S. Businesses? Case in Point Some say it has been the ruination of U.S. industry what overseas manufacturers can do to compete and shut out U.S. manufacturing businesses. Cheap labor and plenty of it seems to be part of the issue. But I always wonder about all this Six Sigma and other quality programs U.S. manufacturers implemented...or at least attempted to. Small manufacturing businesses just do not take the right steps to look at their operations in a critical way.
