marketing websites: Where do you search for listing?

I have been working on promoting my listing, both rental and for sale, and was wondering what site people use most when they are searching for listing. I know that most real estate professionals will use the MLS, but what else do you look. And what do buyers or renters use to search for listing? Like everyone else I would like to get the most out of my listings and my time, so any suggestions are welcome.
