This is an important week in the lobbying efforts of the National Association of REALTORS® who are working to extend the homebuyer tax credit.  The Senate Finance Committee is expected to consider an amendment to an unemployment insurance bill that would extend the homebuyer tax credit to the middle of 2010, increase the income limits, and remove the first-time homebuyer restriction.

An article recently appeared in USA Today titled: "U.S. home market shows 'encouraging' signs" and goes on to say: Home sales last month rose 3.6% to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 4.89 million properties with gains seen in all major regions of the USA, according to a report released Thursday, 7/23/09 by the National Association of Realtors (NAR).
Hopefully the trend will be sustained and the nation will experience a full blown recovery.

In an updated news release, the Moore County Department of Public Works says that t Stage 2 (moderate mandatory conservation) of the Moore County Water Conservation Ordinance will be implemented as of April 1, 2008.
Although water conservation remains mandatory for the communities of: West End, Pinewild, Love Grove, McClendon Hills, Pinehurst and Seven Lakes, Stage 2 represents and easing of conservation requirements since October 1, 2007 Stage 3 calls on customers to reduce water consumption by 50%. Under Stage 2 regulations, reduction goals are 30%.
