At what point do you refer your client to another agent?
I've known agents to refer their clients out for some reasons like:
 
1. Geographically, they cannot or do not cover that area2. They consider themselves a listing agent exclusively, so they refer buyers to another agent.3. They do not have a good rapport with the client, so they refer them out to a better "personality profiling"match.4. For whatever reasons, they consider working with that client as a conflict of interest.5. It is a buyer on their own listing, and they do not feel comfortable representing both sides6. Hard, Cold Facts about ActiveRain referrals: I just got a nice sized check in the mail.
I had some clients that are relocating to the Los Angeles area, and needed to sell their home in Oregon.
What did I do?
I went straight to ActiveRain and started looking for agents in that city.
I combed through many agents, read some of their blogs and looked at some of their experience and closed listings.
Experience to get the job done was important, but I was also looking to match personality profiles between the clients and the agents.
