The average sale price in October was down just about 1% over September, and about 8% over October of last year.
While the average days on market (the time from when the home is listed until it goes into a "pending" status, meaning all contingencies have been removed) is up slightly over last month, they are down 22% compared to October of (0 comments)
The average sales price in May ($298,599) was down from April ($339,070), but this is likely attributed to three homes being sold for $1,000,000+ in April versus just one in that price point in May. Over last year, though, we see a nice increase in the average sale price, which was $242,869 in May 2012.

There is no denying that real estate sales are picking up in both Ozaukee and Washington counties. We are seeing the inventory move quicker and even some multiple offers on some properties. But when we look at the closed deals in January of this year versus January of last year in Ozaukee and Washington counties, we seem to be getting some mixed messages.
The number of single-family units in Ozaukee county held pretty steady, as did the prices, but average days on market dropped considerably, which is a great sign that inventory is moving. Almost the same can be (0 comments)
