washington county home sales: Real Estate Market - Ozaukee and Washington County - March 2015 - 04/10/15 02:46 AM
The spring housing market is upon us. Interest rates are low and so is inventory in most areas. Here's a snapshot of single-family sales in Ozaukee and Washington counties and how they compare to the last three years.
The number of single-family homes that sold in March this year (80) nearly doubled over January and February, and is also up 75% over the same time last year.
Prices are holding pretty steady January through March, and are just below where they were one year ago.
While the average days on market are below what they were a year ago, they are up from January … (0 comments)

washington county home sales: 1st Quarter 2014 Single Family Home Sales Washington County - 04/09/14 02:32 AM
It's hard to believe that we've already passed the first quarter of 2014. We say it every year, but where does that time go?
Overall, the Washington county single-family home sales fared well in March.
There was a 41% increase in the number of homes sold in March over February (82 vs. 58).

The average sale price in March, on the other hand, saw about a 15% decrease over February, going from $229,474 to $194,944.

And finally, the average days on market...we saw a nice decrease there going from 158 in February to 135 last month. Looks like homes are … (0 comments)

washington county home sales: Washington County Single-Family Home Sales -- February 2014 - 03/05/14 06:45 AM
I have to admit that this isn't the most exciting market report I've been able to share. Washington County home sales in February held pretty steady compared to January overall.
The number of single-family homes sold in Washington County was pretty much the same.

Similarly, there wasn't much change in the average sale price ($229,474) compared to January ($222,424). It was, however, up over the same time last year.

The average days on market (number of days from when the house is listed until all contingencies are removed) was up over January 2014 and February 2013.

washington county home sales: Halfway into '12 --Things Look Good in Ozaukee & Washington Home Sales - 07/23/12 10:14 AM
With over half of 2012 behind us, we can look back on those six months with some relief and hope in relation to home sales in Ozaukee and Washington counties.
Unit sales of single-family homes continued to climb -- a sure sign that we are headed in the right direction.
While prices rose a bit in Washington county, they didn't fare as well in Ozaukee county with a decline of 9.5% over the same time last year. This would seem to indicate prices haven't quite bottomed out yet.

washington county home sales: So How Are Real Estate Sales in Ozaukee and Washington Counties?? - 03/18/12 07:07 AM
Seems everywhere I go these days people are asking, "So how is the real estate business?" And it seems that many of my colleagues are getting the same question.
I happily am able to answer that with a heartfelt, "Great!" Yes, activity is certainly picking up out there. Open house traffic is increasing, even in those homes that hadn't had visitors for a while. Some homes are getting multiple offers, and the days on market don't seem to be hitting the three-digit numbers as often any more.
Are we out of the woods? Probably not. But what we've seen in Ozaukee … (4 comments)

washington county home sales: Ozaukee and Washington County Closed Sales Hold Steady - 08/06/09 11:34 PM
Like everyone else, I can't believe we're already at the end of the first week of August! And yet in the midst of summer activities -- baseball games, biking, parties, festivals, fairs, cookouts -- I've seen my real estate sales hold pretty steady over July. You can see from the graphs below, that the same can be said about Ozaukee and Washington counties, as well.

Overall inventory is still plentiful, and interest rates continue to stay below 6%. This is still a great time to buy a house or condo, especially for first-time buyers who qualify for … (3 comments)

washington county home sales: Go Ozaukee and Washington County Home Sales!! - 07/02/09 12:54 PM
Every month I send out a newsletter to my current and past customers, and this year I decided to include some local home sales statistics in each issue. And each month I'd hold my breath as I generated the reports from my local Multiple Listing Service (MLS) program, hoping the numbers would show some positive activity.
Suffice to say...the month of June did NOT let me down. Take a look!

In Ozaukee County, the number of single-family homes sold (closed sales) jumped to 72, up from 50 in May. Condo … (2 comments)
