Frisco Square, a master-planned lifestyle community in the heart of Frisco, is hosting Movies in the Square featuring family-oriented movies each Friday evening at 9:00 PM beginning June 1 through August 10, 2007. Studio Movie Grill, which is opening at Frisco Square in December 2007, is a lead sponsor of Movies in the Square. The movies will be projected on a giant, 26' x 13' inflatable movie screen located in Frisco Square and there is no charge to view them. Safety Town is a state of the art complex dedicated to teaching citizens about fire and life safety issues. Frisco Fire Safety Town features a mini village with roadways, traffic signals and a toll booth. Children will ride bikes or mini-jeeps through the town. In addition, interactive classrooms feature an actual fire engine cut down to kid size. There's also a home setting with window-like video screens simulating severe weather. And there's a bedroom that fills with simulated smoke. All this is intended to help teach safety to children. Todays the day.... I am getting ready to go to the opening of the new Wal-Mart Super Center, which has conveniently located itself right around the corner from my West Frisco Home. Traffic is bad right now on Eldorado and I have a feeling its only going to get worse. We did get a new traffic light on Eldorado at the side entrance to the Super Center, but no street modifications as of yet. Frisco residents join the "Frisco Green Team" for a city wide clean up event! Volunteers will help with roadside litter collection, hazardous waste and unwanted item disposal. This family friendly event begins and ends at IKEA, 7171 IKEA Drive.
