California is a funny place. We have a reputation for being just plain crazy...and we are. San Francisco has just passed a law that prevents someone from eating in restaurants without something covering their bottom. (yes, we have to pass those kinds of laws). We have a water shortage affecting families livelihood and the farming industry because we do not want to hurt a tiny fish found there. In a financial crisis, we are paying our tax dollars to construct a high speed train to take people to......wait for it....Las Vegas. Yes, that's right....to spend money on ANOTHER state. Oh I know this is going to upset my friends in the rest of the country. And blah, blah, blah....we all love the change of seasons. But let's face it, heavy snow makes for a hard day. I woke up today to the news that the Metrodome roof has collapsed. And Minnesota is no stranger to heavy snow. My in-laws live in St. Louis and they are expecting a high of 19° today. A HIGH of 19°. I've thought long and hard about this post! Wondering what to say to people who are considering a short sale of their home. The actual process and steps are rather simple, 1) list home2) find buyer3) negotiate with your lenders4) close escrow I realize that was a simplified list....but really it is about that simple. What a beautiful morning here in Mission Viejo California! Sun is shining and I hear it's a beach day....upper 80s! Fortunately, our lake has a beach, so you don't need to leave to relax. Fall in Southern California is normally a warm, sunny extension of summer. The crowds are gone and yet we can still enjoy all our summer activities. Heat Wave Hits Mission Viejo, California My car temperature gauge reached 111 degrees yesterday. Whew, that's hot. I remember my parents saying that "it was hot enough to fry an egg." So, I tried it.....not exactly hot enough, and the dirt made it unappealing, but still....."hot enough to create dirty, runny, scrambled eggs." Mission Viejo Is Hot! Time To Hit The Lake If you are a Mission Viejo resident, you already know the benefit of the Mission Viejo Lake. A private lake with 2 beaches, boating, fishing and cool water. Ever think about where you live? I live in Mission Viejo, California. I grew up here! I moved when I was 5 years old in 1966 and we had to drive through orange groves to get to the nearest market....15 miles away.
