THUD! The Sound of the Bottom of the Housing Market! With the takeover of Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac by the Feds I would say we have seen the bottom of the market. We are now in a recovery period. Interest rates will decrease (Today 5.625 fixed no points), Home prices will begin to increase. How long is the recovery period? I have no idea. A year or so? I do know that home prices won't be going down. Smart buyers will take advantage of the lower rates during the 4th quarter. All bets are off after the new year when a (13 comments)
All real estate markets are local. Even here in the tri-county area we have different markets. Goose Creek and Moncks Corner the prices are holding as opposed to Mt Pleasant & Daniel Island where bargains can be found on every street corner.
Overall home sales have fallen as much as 33% in the first quarter as compared to the same time last year. In March of '07 1137 homes sold compared to 752 sold in March of '08. In the same (0 comments)

mt pleasant: Cainhoy- Not what people think
- 04/20/07 02:45 AM
Cainhoy to me was always the place I went by as I was headed to I526 or away from Hurricane Floyd (up 41 to 52 to columbia). I never paid attention to what was here. In 2006 I had the opportunity to list and sell property in the Peninsula subdivision off Clements Ferry Rd. a great place. A planned community built by DR Horton with neatly tended lawns and gardens. The amenity center was one of the funniest looking places I'd seen in my travels. I found my self coming back to explore what else was out here in "the woods". (0 comments)

Done deal right? Hardly! Everything a builder does, and everybody (0 comments)
