We just started a new year and that means the addition of new state laws.  Below are the New CT State Laws Effective January 1, 2017.
Most Health Insurance Policies will be required to  cover tomosynthesis mammography, or three-dimensional mammograms. The state’s medical marijuana program, which was enacted in 2012, will be expanded to include seriously ill children. CT will adapt a new “symbol of access” for people with disabilities. Employers will no longer be allowed to ask about a prospective employee about prior arrests, criminal charges or convictions on a employment application, and first interview.  The only exception is for … (7 comments)

new laws: New Servcing Laws Being Introduced - 08/03/12 09:22 AM
New Servcing Laws Being Introduced in Hawaii.  Hawaii recently passed three new laws for Mortgage Servicing and Mortgage Origination that may be the start of setting a direction for other States.  I am always skeptical about new laws, many times their purpose is more about creating new revenues than accomplishing what they claim to be established for.  I will try to keep an open mind if these new laws make their way to Connecticut, but the smoke and mirrors of the past give me reason for concern.
