Several years ago, I was showing a property in a very nice uppper class neighbourhood. Everything looked great on the main and upper levels, space and layout was great..When we went into the basement, I immediately noticed that the floor had just been painted… then when I looked up into the joists I saw the holes that were drilled all along the length of the house to allow for the electrical wires to feed through. There was also some black mold visible on the joists. Then the light bulb went on!!! This was used as a grow house… I informed my clients of my suspicions, but told (11 comments)

The Brokerage, Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate, is affiliated with a third party who sends out Surveys to each client after the transaction closes. The purpose is four-fold. It allows the client to express their opinon in a testimonial about their experience working with their agent, It allows the Broker to see where the agent may be falling short, enabling the agent to make the necessary adjustments, It holds each agent accountable on how we conduct our business; and It allows the agent to see what areas if any they need to improve... A few years ago I attended out annual ” sales kickoff" meeting, and having attended numerous meetings such as these in the past, thought it was going to be the typical “Rah-Rah” atmosphere, but I was pleasantly surprised. At the meeting was a keynote speaker from Nova Scotia named Eddie Lemoine. Eddie has the ability to resonate with his audience with a sincere and forthright manner in which he engages with people. He is insightful, collaborative and a great motivator. Eddie is the author of a book entitled “Bring About What You Think About” a practical guide to attracting the life you desire. Erma Bombeck could always put a smile on my face with her comical quips about every day life as a parent.... This one is more serious and comes from the heart..(although there is a bit of humour at the beginning) I had never seen this one before... so thought I would share it. I’ve Always Loved You Best Because … It is normal for children to want assurance that they are loved. Many years ago, before I became a realtor, I was a single mother and someone encouraged me to leave my secretarial job and get into sales beacause they thought I would be successful at it. Needless to say I was hesitant to leave a weekly pay cheque in favour of being paid solely by commission. Then someone said to me... Last year, in May, 2015 I had a property listed which was sold by another agent. His client was an investor and wanted to rent out two units in the home. Even before the home closed, it was posted on Kijiji.ca (similar to Craig’s list) for lease. My client happened across it by accident, and lo and behold he stole all the photographs I bought and paid a photographer for and was using them. Not only did he steal my photographs without my consent, he also plagiarized the description of the property I used on my original listing. To make matters worse, (0 comments)
