streetsville real estate: YOUR IMPORTANT ROLE - 02/12/18 08:30 AM
I think sellers are of the opinion that once a realtor has listed thier home for sale, they can sit back and expect their home to sell without giving much thought to the fact that they have to be an active participant in the successful sale of their home.
Make Your Home Accessible
Having your home accessible to prospective Buyers as much as possible, is critical in the sale of your home.  Agents try to give as much notice as possible for requests to show your home, but there are times when last minute requests do occur.  Granting requests as much as … (24 comments)

streetsville real estate: APPRECIATE WHAT YOU HAVE, DON'T TAKE ANYTHING FOR GRANTED - 07/22/17 11:31 AM
APPRECIATE WHAT YOU HAVEHow often do you take things for granted?  Little things you do every day without a second thought.... Its not until an event takes place that we stop and take notice when something happens to make us dependent on others for the most menial tasks that we took for granted..
When i returned home from hospital several years ago after back surgery, (I had a two herniated disks, a double decompression of L4 & L5)) I returned home with a greater appreciation of my independence, or lack thereof. Back injuries affect your every movement and I was humbled at how important our backs … (3 comments)

Do you tell your clients you are going away?  Do you NOT tell them and hope no one needs you while you are gone?   Do you enrust your clients to a colleague while you are away?
We all need a break from time to time, and you have several important decisions facing you before you take that well deserved break... is "who is going to take care of my clients in my absence?" Who will handle my phone calls? Who will take a client out to view a property they want to … (34 comments)

It has some of the most attractive family friendly homes in Mississauga where high-rise condos and low-rise developments continue to be built. streetsville real estate: WHAT EXPENSES AN AGENT PAYS FOR WITH THEIR EARNED COMMISSION - 01/31/17 03:52 PM
Most Sellers I encounter have no idea how the Selling Commission is structured or how it is allocated. Many consumers believe their agent’s expenses are covered by their Brokerage, but in fact agents are responsible for ALL their expenses.
Here is an excerpt below from my booklet… A Real Estate Guide for Sellers… where I explain to clients how the commission structure works.
Real Estate professionals are independent business people who must pay fees to their broker, to their boards, and must cover ALL of their business expenses before they acquire net earnings.
Most professionals receive an hourly fee for … (2 comments)

streetsville real estate: ATTRACTING QUALIFIED BUYERS - 01/31/17 09:46 AM
When you list your house, it must attract the attention of qualified buyers eager to get into a property like yours. Otherwise, your house may take longer to sell and you may not get the price you expected.
As an expert in the local market, I can get the word out about your listing to all the right people. I know how to attract serious buyers – so a good offer comes in quickly.
To achieve that success, I’ll implement the appropriate marketing plan. After all, there’s more to selling a house than hammering a For Sale … (5 comments)

streetsville real estate: A Mother's Love ... - 11/22/16 01:08 AM
Another profound writing by Erma Bombeck - the humorist who wrote about every day life as a parent.. who could make me laugh... simply because I could relate... and they were all true.
"Someday, when my children are old enough to understand the logic that motivates a mother, I’ll tell them…
I loved you enough to bug you about where you were going, with whom and what time you would get home.
I loved you enough to insist you buy a bike with your own money, which we could afford, and you couldn’t.
I loved you enough to be silent and let you discover your … (1 comments)

streetsville real estate: FINANCING PRE-APPROVAL - BEFORE HOUSE HUNTING - 12/26/14 10:49 PM
I have been a real estate agent for 27 years, and one of the things I always suggest to my clients is for them to contact their financial institution or a mortgage broker and get their financing pre-approval in place prior to going out house hunting. There is nothing worse that a couple finding their dream home, only to find out it is out of their price range and they can't afford to buy it.

Recently, I was working with a … (3 comments)

streetsville real estate: CURB APPEAL - THE WAY TO ENTICE BUYERS INSIDE YOUR HOME - 11/07/14 11:14 PM
Curb Appeal…. How Important Is It?

While most home owners concentrate on "dressing" or "staging" the interior of the home, most forget about the exterior!!
A vast majority of home buyers decide whether or not to look inside a home, based on their first impressions of the outside… does it have “curb appeal?” ..the view they see when they drive by or arrive for a showing. You can ensure people want to come inside your home by spending some time working on its exterior appearance, making it inviting for buyers to want to see more.
Most potential buyers find it … (3 comments)
