I'm sure by now you heard the announcement regarding FHA MIP yesterday. HUD's reduction in the MI factor was been suspended by the new administration and that can affect your home buyers and refi borrowers. Rarely do I get calls from loan officers over the weekend, never on Sundays, but today I did, and I loved it! They co-branded one of our free flyers on the 1% down payment program with a Realtor who handed it out at their open house. After the open house the Realtor called the LO to say that flyer generated more conversations they had ever had about not just that house but others the Realtor had listed. The Realtor wants the LO to come to their office to make a presentation to the rest of their office about the 1% down payment … (5 comments)

There has been so much misinformation floating around the real estate and mortgage industries in regard to the new lending disclosures called "TRID" that I had to write something about it. First, let me explain my background. I've been employed full time in both real estate and mortgages since 1986 so I've experienced many changes first hand.
