Finding products from the Balkans in a multicultural Chicago is not that difficult. Being from the restaurant family I'm always happy to try something new, especially if there is a great product that is in a way connected to my roots.

The pie chart below is showing the percentage of sold homes that were short sale, REO (foreclosed) and regular sale homes. In Mount Prospect, IL detached single family homes show that 25% of the sales were foreclosures and short sales, while the number of those sales with townhomes and condos is much higher. The national average for the first quarter is 39% for REO's or foreclosures.

While searching years ago on where to see an independent movie, the answers were and still are the same. Landmark Theaters!
Landmark's Renaissance Place in downtown Highland Park is my first choice and it looks like the only one. The theater is located at 1850 Second Street. There is 3 hours free parking in the underground garage. If you come early you can have a quick slice of NY pizza across the street as an idea. I did drive to Landmark on Clark Street to see A Single Man by Tom Ford, since it was a limited release.

Among the findings from the Northfield Township reassessment:
Northfield is the 11th of 14 north suburban townships to be mailed during this triennial reassessment. There were 1,507 home sales in Northfield Township since the last triennial reassessment in 2007, down from 2,720 home sales during the prior triennial period (2004 to 2007). The median sale price for single-family homes and other non-condo residential properties fell to $529,000 in 2009 from $601,250 in 2008 – a 12% decline. Usually when the buyers are sick of looking on the web because they were thinking ....
They were thinking that the property they like is still on the market ....
They thought that the particular home had this many bedrooms ... the property tax was way too big, didn't know if the home was a regular sale or short sale ....and the list goes on ..

I have shown many short sale homes here in the area and only one of them was approved out of ten. Here is a short summary from both sides, as a listing agent and as a buyer's agent on an approved short sale.
One of my listings was approved not too long ago and the bank was asking X amount of money. Since a short sale is a long, long process you will find that the approved ones are on the market way longer than a 100 days and most probably they had previous offers.
