Middle Tennessee Home Sales Continue to Recover! The Greater Nashville Association of Realtors recently announced that though February sales increased 18% in 2012 compared with February of 2011, it was a decrease from the average of 24.6% that most months have shown! It's the most homes closed in February since 2008. There were 1,784 closings compared to 1,515 last year. March is predicted to be an especially good month as there are already 2269 homes pending! Inventory levels are down 14.3% compared with this time last year. This would be a strong reason for the 9.4% increase in the (5 comments)

Just as Things were Looking up, Things are Looking Down! We have seen weeks of positive reports, blogs and media on how the economy is truly showing signs of improving. This morning on the front page of the business section the title was: Housing Market May Get Hit Anew! It says that we can expect to get hit with a Second Wave of Foreclosures in 2012. In 2010, 35% of home sales were foreclosures. In 2011, that number dropped to 11% due to the foreclosure scandal facing the larger mortgage banks. Founders Point Sales of Homes in Franklin TN - Market trends for 2008 Sales of Homes in Founders Pointe were down 10% in 2008 over 2007 sales. The average sales price was up about 2%, but the Days on the Market were up over 60 days. The numbers are as follows: Number of Homes sold in 2007 : 22

The numbers are as follows: Number of Homes sold in 2007 : 31 Number of Homes sold in 2008 : 16 Average Days on the market in 2007: 41 Average Days on the market in 2008: 76 Average Sales Price 2007: $218,900 Average Sales Price 2008: $218,079 Just looking at the average Sales Price is very misleading in this case.
