greece: Selling a Castle View…Did you know this?
- 08/15/08 10:27 PM
We have many buildable plots of land with a view of the Mediterranean and a peninsula with a castle sitting on the end of it. It's a view I thought was only in fairy tales. So I began to think - it's one thing to sell a sea view like this one, looking over an island and the blue warm Mediterranean, but add a castle to that and it synergizes the beauty! You can't get a castle view back home in the states. Screech!!!! Scratch that- Wow, do I stand corrected. Or rather, I sit corrected. You see, nowhere where I (5 comments)
greece: HONK
- 07/17/08 10:43 PM
HONK Honk is a cute word. Honking is fun to say. If I say I say Honking out loud and really drop my jaw and get a certain sound to come out, it makes my ears go weird as if I'm talking underwater. I like to say Honking like that. But I can't go around saying Honking like that in public. It does make ones face seem a bit disproportionate. On top of enjoying the verb honk and its conjugations, I also enjoy being a honker. I like to honk. I'll honk to say hi. I'll honk to say, hey (5 comments)
greece: The Winning Lottery Ticket
- 07/11/08 03:52 PM
I bought the winning lottery ticket! Actually I knew it all along. I had a hunch. In the beautiful square of Pylos, there is a cigarette shop. I know, not the best place to put a cancer stick store, but there it was, within walking distance to our office, as always, but this time it looked different. Seemed to glow, maybe it was the smoke coming out as the evening sun shone through it. Whatever it was, it called me. It was a beckoning of light. I never play. (You know that gamblers can get addicted and live in a state (8 comments)
greece: In The Shower
- 07/10/08 11:27 PM
Yeah, in the shower. And I do mean standing in a tub type of shower. In the shower I was looking out of the window. Watching a shower. I thought that was funny. And I wanted to write about it. But as I stood there with suds in my hair and a razor in my hand and blob of conditioning soap in my other, I realized it was not the best time to write a story about being in a shower watching a shower. So I couldn't. And I didn't. And I thought and thought about all of the times a (3 comments)
greece: I love fat
- 07/03/08 07:26 PM
I love fat. Fat is fun to say. There are so many great fat things. A big fat firework! (hot topic of the day I'll presume) Fat babies! Now who doesn't love a fat baby? Ever seen a Yamagata painting? Full of tiny little fat people. I have one. I love it. (not a tiny little fat person, but a painting by Yamagata! Ha) Love the fat people sculptures! Those fat cats, too. You can say FAT 20 times real fast and it still sounds like FAT. Go ahead. Now try it with handkerchief, you won't have a clue what's coming (6 comments)
greece: Living Without For Sale Signs
- 07/02/08 09:21 PM
Living without for sale signs! Imagine living without for sale signs. Can you? I do. I not only imagine living without for sale signs, I live without for sale signs. I wouldn't have believe it if I hadn't first seen it in France, where I lived for 5 years. I thought it was a French thing. Maybe it was below them to have a sign in their yard even if it could help. No signs. But here I see the same thing. Or rather I don't see. Even in the southwestern tip of the beautiful Peloponnese, there are no for sale (9 comments)
greece: Why stay in the states?
- 07/01/08 10:09 PM
Why stay in the states? Oh sure, America is wonderful, but why stop there, why not diversify overseas? Why not Europe? Why not Greece? Greece is the last place in Europe to have the great deals. Greece has 10 million people ~ the city of Seoul in Korea has 10 million people. Can you imagine how rural Greece is? Greece is full of land; undeveloped, raw, beautiful land! And most of that land has sea views. Greece is mountainous. You can see the sea from FAR far away on a mountain top. You don't only have a strip of land that (15 comments)
Having fun selling land in Greece, developing land in the southwest tip of the Peloponnese, Greece, and creating Methoni Estates! It's an affluent neighborhood of luxury villas.
