Our current stats as of Today are: Total Residential Units Available: 172 Number priced under $500,000: 104Number of 2007 Residential Solds at the end of April 2007: 74The May 2007 data is not complete yet. If the trend continues, the market is absorbing 18 homes a month in the South Hilo Hilo District for 2007. Ok I went out and started the process of opening a New Brokerage, and in a down market to boot! Gasp! Why? My current Broker is down sizing and has no need for all of the Brokers he hired in the boom years. He is upset he has to down size. So am I.
