Recently, we took our French Bulldog, Gigi to the Vet for the last time.
  She had been pretty ill and we had regular conversations about how much time we had left with her. When she stopped eating and drinking, we took her to the vet, only to find out she had blockages in her stomach and intestine (probably from eating things that she should not have eaten while out in the yard). I am a Realtor, a wife, a mother and the owner of 2 four-legged babies, Emmy and Gigi.  There are times when these two dogs drive me crazy, but I love them both and they keep me grounded. Thanks to Lauren Shifflet, Owner of Leesburg Canine Country Club, for getting in touch with me about my recent Reston Blog, http://activerain.com/blogsview/560718/What-are-my-Favorite. Lauren commented that she had many great memories of living in Reston.
She also mentioned that she left Reston, fairly recently, to start a new venture, The Leesburg Canine Country Club.  I am always happy to pass on information about different recreational activities in the area.  TLCCC is an off-leash social club that meets at Falcon Ridge Recreation Center. It is a fact of life that those of us who own pets consider them to be family members.  You see evidence of this daily with dogs accompanying owners on trips around town. Cat owners are just as enthusiastic about their friends; they just have a harder time getting them on a leash!
