negotiations: What happens if the seller rejects your offer? - 11/12/14 12:52 AM

You have found the house of your dreams in Northern Virginia, submitted an offer and now you are just waiting for the exciting good news that the house will soon be yours.   And then you get the news that they have rejected your offer. What is next?   If they rejected your offer outright, you can modify it and resubmit it. Keep in mind that if they have completely rejected your offer, there is likely another offer that they selected or your offer was very far from what they were looking for.   If they opted to counter your … (1 comments)

negotiations: If You Want it, Put It In Writing! - 03/23/13 01:09 AM
The Northern Virginia real estate market is hot. Buyers are competing for homes and finding that they need to be efficient and organized in their approach to making offers to purchase.
Last month, I listed a home for approximately $450,000. We had over 50 groups through the open house the first Sunday it was listed. The sellers interpreted … (5 comments)

Then the market shifted and we came to where we are today.  The price at which … (0 comments)
