I would like to share with you how I got one of my most unexpected real estate leads. No, it did not come from my website, my calling my sphere of influence or FSBO or expires. It came from the Salvation Army. Every Spring I go through my closet's and donate clothes that either I have not worn in a year or I purchase on impulse and decided that I am not interested in wearing, or they no longer fit. This subject of protected farms has come up for discussion in my office not once but several times. Farming is an agent way of marketing themselves, I have seen some agents have up to 5000 homes that they farm. This is where the subject matter gets sticky, when an agent actively farms they invest a lot of time and money in the hopes that when a person in this farm is thinking of selling or buying they will contact this agent. It's been a rough day. Hours of prospecting have yielded zilch and you're staring at a helium filled quota number that's floating farther out of your grasp by the minute.
