Does It Always Have To Be About Real Estate?

Speaking with AR member Marco Giancola this morning, I discovered we have similarities. We have both  been REALTORS ®  for the past 26 years, we both enjoy learning and  we both enjoy connecting with other agents of all ages. Marco is interested in the recent course CNE that I took with another member .

And then I found out about Marco's  love of architechture and painting.
When asked if he shared this passion on ActiveRain,  his response...No, he feels he should keep the conversation to real estate.

To say I disagree would be an understatement. People want to … (25 comments)

art: Arts and Crafts...A Bit of Humor .....HomeRome Tour - 12/09/10 08:52 AM
This past week, while visiting one of my sellers, I was able to tour their art collection. Being a former ceramic and porcelain artist and attending many craft shows, it is always a pleasure to see what other's choose for their home. Got permission to photograph a few pieces and want to share them with you. Love the whimsy and humor in some of these pieces.

art: Where Life Goes Better With Art and Auction...Join us May 7th - 04/24/09 02:00 AM
Usually when I say "auction," I'm talking about the accelerated marketing that's been so successful for TRAC Auctions. But this time is a little different. There's still a building involved (though it is not for sale). This time it is the  paintings and sculpture and gorgeous ceramic art  for sale.  And just to keep it interesting …the #1 bar in America, recently chosen by "Esquire" magazine.
It began a few months ago when my friend and amazing artist, Tatiana, introduced me to Laura Siner and Leia McKenna who own and run The Art Resource, Inc. The Art Resource represents hundreds of artists including … (10 comments)

art: Art, Friendships, Blogging....These Are a Few Of My Favorite Things - 01/25/09 05:28 AM

It has taken me two years to give my friend a gift, but finally Tatiana has joined Active Rain. And now our community has gained another talented artist. When you look at her work along with mARTi's, you'll see why I saw a connection between them and wanted this very talented and accomplished marketer to join.
A couple a years ago, I was drawn to mARTi's work, especially his violin. Besides being a talented ceramic artist, Tatiana is also a musician. She played the cello for many years and held chamber music concerts in her historic church/gallery/studio in Maryland. When … (5 comments)

art: Connected through a Stoneware Network - 04/14/08 12:45 PM
Have you ever been to a dinner party where everyone had something in common with someone else there? It's like a giant game of cat's cradle – the lines of connection criss-cross and eventually include everyone. That's what we had the other night when a friend hosted six couples. Like the excellent hostess she is, Malynda put together interesting people and the conversation never stopped. (Well, maybe the men didn't get to say much!)

There was a woman who owns a bank, another who is a senior mortgage loan officer, and another who is with a major residential builder. All the conversation … (10 comments)

art: The Flying Dozen Discover Nemacolin - 09/24/07 09:58 AM
For 12 people it's just a short hop from Baltimore, MD to The Laurel Highlands of Pennsylvania, assuming you have 3 airplanes and a brilliantly cool day fall day for the jaunt. We did, about a week ago, and had a delightful day discovering Nemacolin and enjoying a tour and a decadent brunch. The place is full of eye candy – art (including an impressive collection of Norman Rockwell's work), food masquerading as art, sculpture, wild animals, antique cars, and vintage airplanes.
The Laurel Highlands is an area of rolling hills and sparkling streams that is east and south of Pittsburgh. … (22 comments)
