baltimore craft show: Eye Candy In Baltimore - Day 2 Of The ACC - 02/25/17 08:12 PM

The ACC is in Baltimore and today I went again for a second full day with my long time friend Peg Silloway who is in town from Oregon. What a coincidence that she would meet a fellow weaver Karen Gelbard (see the video  and look for "The Oregon Weaver") who was showing at the craft show.
When we arrived this morning there were thousands of people waiting in lines all around the block of the convention center.  We quickly found out all of these people  were in town to audition for The Voice.

Peg and I had a  lovely lunch meetup, planned weeks ago, … (4 comments)

baltimore craft show: Fine Crafts In Baltimore ACC 2017 - 02/24/17 07:48 PM

If it's February and you are in Baltimore...you must go to the ACC show at the Convention Center.

I have been attending every year for decades and this  year is no exception. We spent all day today and covered less than half of the show. So tomorrow we return to meet other craft lovers and try to cover the rest of the show.
So much eye candy!
Here is a sampling of some of the creative artists.

Being a former porcelain artist...I really appreciate everything about this yearly event.

Here's one of my pieces.

Blogging Is Art!

Received this email from ActiveRain today....
''I saw Margaret Rome's entry about the ACC show in Baltimore, and wanted to
let you all know about a new show making its debut in Charlotte, NC. Some
of the artists Margaret met at the ACC show will be with us, along with
many others, so if your group is active in the Charlotte area (a booming
real estate market, so probably so), make plans to attend. Kathy Wegman,
the woman who places all those beads on found objects, is creating a fan
for the show, because I told her how much … (12 comments)

baltimore craft show: ACC Craft Show Baltimore 2012..More Than Eye Candy. - 02/24/12 02:28 PM
ACC Craft Show Baltimore 2012..More Than Eye Candy. The Craft Show is in Baltimore this weekend and it is bigger and better. With over 700 exhibitors, it may be the largest indoor craft show ever. Everywhere you look there is beauty, eye candy, creativity and an excitement listening to the artists.  There was lots of positive energy and people were buying. I have been going to these shows for many years and way before real estate. Was able to see quite of few artists from previous years and prior posts.

baltimore craft show: Black, White, Yellow, Red and One for Peg! ACC Baltimore Craft Show! - 02/25/11 04:05 PM
For over 30 years the annual American Craft Council Show has been in Baltimore! American Craft Council Show Will Be in Baltimore This Weekend! February 24-27th
As a former ceramic artist, I am not sure if I have missed an ACC show. Over the years I have gone with my friend and publisher Peg Silloway. Today was even more special. Peg's baby sister, Kathleen, joined us...and did we have fun!
Take a look at this hat marathon.
Sometimes it really pays to be the picture taker rather than the subject. This was at the end of our day. All of … (19 comments)

You will find me at the ACC this weekend just like every year in the past. The show will be February 24-27, 2011
There will be more than 700 artists including jewelry, clothing, furniture and home accessories.  The ACC is the largest juried indoor craft show in the nation.

Here are some of my observations from the past FOUR years. The crafts are as varied as the artists represented. There will be lots more photos this weekend … (7 comments)

baltimore craft show: Eye Candy for Artists – Baltimore ACC Craft Show - 03/19/10 12:30 PM
So much has happened over the past few weeks that I haven't had a chance to write about the delightful few hours spent at the American Craft Council's Baltimore Craft Show. It's an annual treat for me and my friend/publisher Peg Silloway. We both have spent part of our lives working in crafts, and this one day is a chance to recharge our creative batteries and see what's happening in the world of fine handcrafts.

There are some old favorites we always check in with, like glass artist Josh Simpson. His work is exquisite and Peg is a collector. This … (22 comments)
