He was looking for the perfect house.
Years ago, working with a buyer who knew precisely what he wanted in his house, and we even made a list. It had to be in the county, excellent schools, energy-efficient, central air, attached garage, hot tub, big modern kitchen, and he wanted to make sure it was a financially sound investment. Should he need to sell in a few years, he wanted an area that would hold it's value.

No question, buying a home is an emotional decision. Even if you find everything you think you want – the right neighborhood, the right school, the right number of bedrooms, the right look, the fireplace, the gardens, the garage, the man cave, the first floor office, even the lower level art studio.
But it still may not be right.
It's like dating. He looked right, was tall enough, good sense of humor, good education, your friends liked him…but something was missing. I think we call it chemistry. The same is true with the house - you gotta fall in love!
