It was a gorgeous Baltimore day with bright blue sunny skys and a perfect day for the Maryland SPCA to show off the new gazebo center dedicated to John Colvin.
The staff at the SPCA, friends and family joined in for the presentation and the bronze plaque will read:
In Loving Memory of John Colvin Animal Lover and Lifesaver.
So proud of our Maryland SPCA.

franki: Paying It Forward...The Rome Way

There is a November challenge hosted by Belinda Spillman . With ActiveRain we see members, every single day, paying it forward...helping others and helping each other. This entire platform is a caring group that I am glad to be a part of.

Not only was Franki special to her family but to me also. I loved this dog as though she were mine. Such a beautiful spirit, such beautiful eyes such a good soul... I even carry her card with me to tell people about service animals. Rest in peace sweet Franki. I love you.
Look how one special family and one special pet made such a difference. Thank you Karen for sharing and caring.
On March 15th, I went with my friend KC to the veterinarian but it was not time to say goodbye.
Franki gave and was given another 3 months after that visit. We weren't even sure she would make it through that night. Franki helped transition her owner with the move to the new home. But Franki was tired and it was now time to say good bye. Rest in peace sweet Franki. You were loved by KC and you shared your love with all of us. Licks and kisses to Johnnie. Maggie May loves you!
Never know when it's time to say goodbye. But tonight is not the time.
Just returned, with my friend KC, after an office visit to the most caring Veterinarian on this planet. It was after 8:00 PM and this kind doctor spent half hour just talking, petting and examining Franki ... a sweet beagle and long time family member. It was decided...
