Inventory is low, a shortage of homes on the market, and many more buyers are vying for the same properties.
Agents are reporting multiple showings at all times of the day and night. They allow appointments to be set up by Showing Time, a great service if used correctly.
This is where good real estate can make a difference. As a listing agent, I know who sees my properties, not a flood of showings using a lockbox from early morning until after dark.

Guess It depends on how you look at the stats. My favorite thing about this exercise... I really love being able to see the links to my blogs and being able to read them quickly. Have you tried this with your posts?

Over 7 years ago, I took over ALL ABOUT REAL ESTATE, my live weekly radio show.
It started many many years before when my friend Terry Stafford was hosting.
I used to listen, call in sometimes and was an occasional guest.
Over the years, I offered to host the show if Terry wanted or needed a Sunday off. It took Terry about an hour to get to the show; it takes me about 10 minutes. I made her a deal to keep Sundays 12-1 open if she wanted to play hookey at the last minute.

Being ‘wonderfully busy’ is my answer to ‘How are you or how is business.’
Many years ago, a dear dear friend told me she was listing her home with another agent. Her reason: she thought I was too busy. She was doing me a favor knowing my full schedule at a time when I was guiding my husband’s care as we traveled to hospitals in Baltimore, Boston, or New York.

This morning Baltimore Business Journal had an article about the planned changes for The Village of Cross Keys. Sounds very exciting to have new construction, luxury rentals, upscale grocery store, and more shops and offices coming to VCK.

Yesterday you could find me at the GBBR Fair at Martin's West. It is always fun meeting a lot of agents, lenders, home inspectors, brokers, vendors, and professional friends made over many years. I also was able to enjoy the trade show and snack on the bounty of delicious foods over the day.
And the bonus was getting in the three classes checked above!

A few weeks ago we had a roof replacement so we could get to a settlement at
650 Military Ave. in Pikesville.
The video below shows the process before during and after installation.
You can see the condition of the roof before.
You can watch the removal of the old roof and the loading of the materials using a shingle pallet.
They figured around 63,000 nails were removed!
You can see a dozen contractors working in unison.
You can see the completion of the new roof and skylights. It was exciting to be a part of this transaction.

Yesterday I posted a question on our Q&A site. It was a question from one of my clients whose home I sold five years ago. She is now ready to sell her current home and is asking...
How long to keep documents from that previous sale?
Checking the responses.. there was a ton of answers from over 4o members. The responses are ranging from specific amounts of time 3-10 years, to forever, to if in doubt throw them out, to do not keep them longer than necessary. And the most frequent answer...check with your accountant.
Others suggest scanning the documents and toss out the paper files.
