This is something that is good for everyone. I have decided to be the spokesperson for Second Chance announcing on my radio show each week when talking to someone who is moving, right-sizing, or remodeling...suggesting they donate to Second Chance. They can also purchase everything for their new home at the same time. Share this wonderful place with buyers and sellers.
Second Chance is a 501(c) nonprofit that gives a second chance to materials, people and the environment. Instead of demolition, this wonderful company deconstructs homes and buildings... salvaging the usable items. The items are made available, to the public, in 200,000 square feet of retail space.
Andrea Bedard and I attended last night. Not only did we meet a lot of very interesting people who, like us, support the wonderful work of Second Chance but we also toured the 200,000 square foot building. We found a few treasures and watched videos of special employees that have been given a second chance. We listened to a great band, enjoyed food and drink and had a really good time.

Second Chance's mission is to provide people, materials and our environment... all with a 2nd chance. Second Chance "deconstructs buildings and homes, salvages usable materials and makes those available to the public through their 200,000 square feet of retail space. With the revenue generated, they provide job training and workforce development for those with employment obstacles in the Baltimore region."
Second Chance Wreckers Ball – October 13, 2018 Second Chance is hosting the Wreckers Ball to support their workforce development program. The ball will be held on October 13, 2018 at their retail facility at 1700 Ridgely Street in downtown Baltimore.
At Second Chance, we’ve made it our mission to hire and retrain individuals with barriers to employment. We reclaim reusable appliances, furniture, fixtures and materials, renewing both people and things to a fulfilling and useful life.

Today was my first visit to Second Chance in Baltimore. I met my friend and trainer John along with Erin and Hadley. What a fun afternoon touring this amazing building.
