Buyers Have Always Needed to be Realistic-It's Just Now More Obvious There are many, many posts talking about buyers needing to get real because inventory is down across most markets. There has seemed to be a switch from a buyers market to a sellers market, which implies that buyers now need to pay more for homes then before. I for one don't think that is true. Sellers Market...Nah...Buyers Market...Maybe...Renters Market ...Bingo! Today's Real Estate Market is complicated to say the least. If you were to do a typical absorption rate in many subdivisions in and around San Antonio Texas, that absorption rate would clearly spell out a buyers market. A buyers market typically means that there is more inventory than there are buyers. This means that buyers have the pick of the litter so-to-speak. That doesn't typically mean you as a buyer can buy a ton of homes below market price given that there is so much inventory, although many buyers think so. It is definitely NOT a sellers market.
