We applaud every real estate professional who regularly uses Internet Marketing... via Virtual Tours! Despite all the reasons agents have for NOT ordering virtual tours, we strongly believe every listing/seller deserves a virtual tour on the Internet.... it is like having a for sale sign in the front yard of your listing. Most agents agree that every listing if possible, should have a for sale sign... sometime in the near future agents will change their thinking about virtual tours... some day having an Internet Virtual Tour on every listing will be as common as a lock box on a front door. … (0 comments)

The first virtual tour company to appear on the national real estate scene was IPIX, somewhere around 1999.  They successfully coined the phrase" virtual tour."  Originally, all they provided was a handful of 360 scenes of a home for sale.  The moving 360 scenes were very distorted and were of poor quality.  The 360 scenes were originally sold, admittedly by IPIX as a GIMMICK to the agents and brokers.

What we hear being echoed over and over again is agreement that home buyers are searching on line.  It is well known that perhaps over 80% of home shoppers begin their home search on the Internet.  Research reveals that the average home buyer is searching on the Internet for approximtely 6 months before actively engaging a real estate professional.  So, it is easy to understand that on line home buyes have the opportunity to view many properties for sale listed by many agents.
