diane plant remax realtron: Latent Defects-Agents and Buyers Ask Questions-Diane Plant Remax Realtron - 03/09/11 02:47 AM
A latent defect is by definition something that is not easily discoverable. If the vendor knows of latent defects but does not disclose them to purchaser, the doctrine of caveat emptor may apply, but if the defects are actively concealed by the vendor, the doctrine of caveat emptor does not apply. An example of this might be if the vendor patched the crack in the wall in order to hide a structural deficiency. In this case the purchaser can ask for rescission of the contract and\or compensation for damages.
Recently two different parties have asked me about defects in homes that … (2 comments)

diane plant remax realtron: Bank of Canada maintaining target overnite rate at 1%-Diane Plant ReMax Realtron - 03/01/11 10:21 AM
OTTAWA - The Bank of Canada today announced that it is maintaining its target for the overnight rate at 1 per cent. The Bank Rate is correspondingly 1 1/4 per cent and the deposit rate is 3/4 per cent.
The global economic recovery is proceeding broadly in line with the Bank's projection in its January Monetary Policy Report (MPR), although risks remain elevated.  U.S. activity is solidifying and remains supported by stimulative fiscal and monetary policies.  Ongoing challenges associated with sovereign and bank balance sheets will limit the pace of the European recovery and are a significant source of uncertainty to … (0 comments)
